I really only see two active fighters 154 and below that might cause him some problems due to style. Spinks and Kirkland.

yeah I see kirkland-williams in the next year or so
the problem with kirkland is that with PW's punch output and james' reluctance to move his head, that could cost rounds

I agree his defense is suspect but so is Williams although Williams uses more head movement. But Kirkland is a puncher who won't be intimidated by Williams he will come right at him.

KIRKLAND?!!!? Naw man. Spinks maybe but still highly doubtful. Only a strong MW slick conter puncher will be able to beat Paul unless he has an off night like he had against carlos the first time.

yeah, but I would like to see james incorperate a lil more defense into his style, that would make him even MORE deadly
I didnt know till last night PW is really right handed, he just fights southpaw

Kirkland dosent have the tools nor the skills to be any trouble for Paul. Again many of you are UNDER RATING Pauls skills. The Kirkland fight would be more of a shalacking than what Paul did to Wink. Pauls ability to fight inside or out effectively and his physical advantages will be trouble for anyone and that's not even talking about his punch output and stamina.

I think most are taking his in activity and age into consideration. Wink is still a top 160 and 154 pound fighter in active or not. It is the "way" Paul took care of business against Wink that is the reasoning behind the praise. Paul is just a very talented and physically gifted athlete who many are excited about because of his ambition and more imprtantly, his willingness to PROVE he wants to fight the best ala PAC. I mean in 3 fights he's faught in the WW, Jr MW and MW divisions just to get fights.

Actually Paul is one of the ONLY fighters I feel has a chance at beating Maywather at 147. Actually I favor Paul at 147 against Floyd whom I NEVER beat agasint. Not that Paul is a better boxer b/c he's not...it's his style and physcial demensions that I feel would be the deciding factors in this match up.

Yes, Paul Williams is a killer, but I'm sure Floyd will eventually step up to the plate to fight him, and prove to everyone why he calls himself "the best ever".
