Never fight a southpaw ever again. He just plain sucks against southpaws. He said before the Lara fight that he only wants to fight 2 or 3 more times and I still think he could. I wouldnt mind seeing him against Cotto if he beats Margarito, Wolak, Bundrage, Strum, Berto, Pirog, Angulo, Alvarez, Martirosyan, Molina, Geale, Chavez Jr, GG, N'Dam N'Jikam or maybe even Mosely for a retirement fight.

Paul is still capable just styles make fights and any decent southpaw knows how to beat him and will everytime. He still IMO could beat any of the fighters listed above and he could also lose but they are still interesting match ups. He's gonna get hit a lot no matter who he fights its just his style but his chin is still amazing anyone who thinks he has anything less then an iron chin is on crack. Not many fighters in history could take the punches he has and still stood up and he takes them over and over again with his chin up in the air on his long skinny neck and he takes most of the punches while throwing his own which makes the impact even worse.

Dont write Williams completely off just yet. He's not P4P but he's still a threat to a lot of fighters.

According RJJ, he is ok to keep fighting on. Williams needs to call it a career.

With Williams height, reach, and natural attributes he could be incredibly difficult to beat. Williams wastes so much of his ability by brawling. He doesnt need to be a brawler! A new trainer and a few adjustmenstments, Williams is a force to be reckoned with.

You can go back quite a ways in Williams career and see him eating guys best power shots. Hes just only recently fighting guys a little closer to his size who can hit.

There is no shame in losing to Martinez and taking a beating from Lara. Those fighters just have more to offer than he is used to.

Williams needs to keep fighting. Just cause he didnt look the greatest against a great boxer in Lara doesnt mean he needs to retire. he just needs to stop fighting southpaws

Will never happen. Williams had lil to no amatuer career and this is just the way he fights and its been effective most of the time. He cant just become this great boxer its not gonna happen.

PWill still has some great fights in him. I think he might fight more than he actually said because of this performance. PWill is out to prove he still belongs.

Its not about being able to still compete. Its about his long term health. Getting hit is a part of the sport, but at the same time when you eat as many flush, bombs as Williams does, you have to think about your future and long term health. Fighters with that type of poor defense aren't made to have long careers. He needs to retire because he gonna end up screwing himself up in the long run. He gets hit a ton when he fights regardless of whether or not its a southpaw.
