Hey bro, I think maybe some of these youngins need a little schoolin':yep - [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZdLJAYzV9M[/ame]
Has that ever happened to him yet? Damn, some fans are stuck in the past with nostalgia and think, "oh that guy would beat anyone out there now...blah..blah...blah..." :rasta
You have just officially made a clown out of yourself. It shows the lenght some people will be willing to go to cover their fighter, I mean, how long did it take you to make that up? Even with specifics as to saying Martinez didn't want to put his title on the line?!?!??? The real reason is PW was already training for a fight @160lbs, so, if anybody had to make any adjustments it was not going to be him, remember, he needs to remain "the most feared" guy in boxing... a shame a guy called Pavlik succumbed to the hype!!!
because no one will give him a meaningful fight for love or money. And for people who get angry at his comments. ITS A PRESS interview he is just trying to boost his profile.
yall cant really be serious tho.... whats he supposed to say? oh yeah ... tommy hearns would knock me the **** out? gtfo
Your right, but he could have just said it would be a great fight not that he would pretty much stop him in the long run. I really hope he doesn't believe all the hype about the moniker. He used that back when Q beat him. It could happen again if he stops to admire himself. WBO Dzinkin or however you spell it is still calling him out. I think it is money that he is after and that is why these fights don't get made. He is not PBF, Pac, or even Hatton to demand big paydays as of yet.
anyone who is truly confident in themself is supposed to say they are better.... unless its something rediculous like michael jennings vs thomas hearns.... obviously there is a chance that the fight would be competitive... ill put it this way.... if he said tommy hearns would beat him... he wouldnt be where his at today.. he was going to accept teh dzinzurik fight by the way but dzinzuriks promo team ****edup and jammed him up in germany
At this point, one would have had to favor Hearns I imagine but it is interesting to note that Emmanuel Steward said he wouldn't have wanted Hearns to fight Williams because it would be a difficult fight (paraphrasing)
Absolute bull****. It's not like Tommy Hearns is active. Even Hopkins was courteous enough to say that Monzon would most probably beat him. And that's a competitive fight. Williams v Hearns would be a massacre at 147 or 154. And what are the chances of him avoiding being KO'd exactly? Given he's never faced a powerful, quick, snappy, accurate puncher like Hearns, he's slower, defensively flawed and Hearns is better in a technical aspect aswell.
