Paul Williams calls himself a throwback fighter, but yet trys to take Martinez belts at a catchweight what is throwback about that? Lie 1: On the ropes radio this week asked him why the catchweight and he tried to play it off like he didn't know anything about the catchweight as if his team didn't add it. They know Martinez likes to put on a lot weight in-between fights and they wanted to take advantage of it. Lie 2: After the first fight which many people thought he lost he blamed it on the short preparation for Martinez as if Martinez wasn't giving the same amount of time, he also said he didn't get a chance to box any left handed fighters. Well Quintana came out today and said this "Unlike the time I helped him with his first fight for Martinez, Paul has improved his defense, he's stronger and a little faster" So what is it Paul are you a throwback or not? Lets not forget the fact that the first Pavilik fight never happened because he outbid himself and wanted more money then he was worth. Paul Williams is not a throwback fighter he's just a 6'3 cry baby who would rather fight smaller men!!! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1AxHex2Ha0[/ame]
Old school fighters like Armstrong did catchweights too...I'm thinking it will have no effect on the fight. It's just for show. It's a really stupid show though, considering he is the one that brought Martinez up to full 160 when he beat him before. ...Moronic. But, I still think meaningless.
157½ for Martinez? I don't understand... :huh It IS This content is protected catchweight isn't it? But This content is protected !
