Paul Williams fighting a 10 rounder at MW, just says to me that you cant take him..

    serious as a WW champion. There are more deserving TOP WW's that deserve a fight with him yet he is buying time before he gets a payday. You cant excuse him for fighting a NON RANKED guy just because its at MW.. Paul Williams has had fights at MW before..even more then he has has ast WW. PW has a title and he needs to fight a mando or another top ranked WW...This stay busy tune up 10 rounder is a joke and not very professional especially when you claim to be the best WW in the world..:deal

    when Margo couldnt get who he wanted, he went after the other top prime welters.. PW cant get MARGO right now..he should go after the other top guys

    Here goes the nuthuggery again.

    Fact: Williams' promoter already offered Margo a career-high payday for a rematch.

    Fact: Margo turned it down.

    End of story. Supposedly, Margo isn't fighting again this year (not even a rematch against Clottey, which would be simple to make because they have the same promoter). In the meantime, Williams is going to come back down to WW to fight his mandatory. All he's doing now is trying to make himself more attractive to get a big money fight against Pavlik in the future.

    Note how not even the other Margo fans are jumping on this one. You're on your own here Yodaddy.

    I take him serious because he has already beat Margarito. Margarito beat a midget in Cotto who quit.

    Cotto is not a midget..4'11 is considered dwarf and Cotto is taller then that :deal

    He hasn't fought at 160 since 2001, and the best fighter he faced at 154 is Sammy Sparkman. It would seem silly to jump straight into fighting a top contender at 160 if it's not a money fight.

    In 2001, Manny Pacquiao was fighting at 122. Would you suggest that he fights from 122 - 135 as well?

    um, PW is in FACT fighting at middle, so I do suggest he fights a top middle.. Manny isnt tuning up out side of his class where he has a title.

    wasnt PW just tryin to get Kelly Pavlik in the ring?

    like I said he is looking for a pay day..he tunes up in 10 rounders at different classes.. very unprofessional.. i think he is worried, someone will pull a Quintana on him again..

    So here we have all these boxing fans complaining about how fighters nowadays don't fight often enough and now we get this. A guy goes old-school, staying busy and sharp and he gets criticized. He already took on a dangerous contender early in the year, got his ass beat and then took an immediate rematch, KO'ed the guy spectacularly and now he fights ONE mediocre guy. Shame on you, Paul!

    And as for his mandatory, it looks like he's fighting him in November. And even if he doesn't, we're not gonna act like he's ducking Michael freakin' Jennings, are we?
