Under the circumstances, this is a good fight. Showtime is limping along right now and gets a name fighter for probably not too much money. And Kirkland's big win boosts Ishida's credibility heading into it.

    Nice bout.

Damn, I'm a big fan of P Will but Ishida is all wrong for him.

People can say what they want about Williams but the man constantly fights the guys nobody is thrilled to get into the ring with, yet some people continue to ridicule him over decisions he has no control over just look who he as fought over the years. I do wish he gets one big payday before he retires because he deserves it for all the tough fights he has taken.

    • Lara
    • Martinez (x2)
    • Quintana (x2)
    • Margarito (at a time where he was one of the most feared men in boxing, no telling if he had plaster)
    • Wright (Yes he was old but when Wright is considered an easy fight for you, level of opponents must be difficult

It's great if you want to credit Williams for his level of competition, but he was essentially ordered by HBO to fight Lara and Martinez II.

I'm hearing possibly Erislandy Lara vs. Antwone Smith. But who knows.

This. It's possible that his jaw got cracked and just isn't there anymore, but before Martinez, he'd never been knocked down legitimately, and he's a guy who gets hit flush hundreds of times in a fight, several times against big punchers.

At the end of the day this will be his legacy. Margarito, Wright, Martinez, Lara and Ishida.

    Back in the cave troll!

Eggzackly! It was no surprise he'd get ko'd fighting the way he does. Him and Marg had great beards but if you fight face first you usually end up face first or at least on yer rear end.
