Williams took two big punches within five second of each other off monster puncher Kermit Cintron.

Williams got hit with a perfectly thrown punch with Martinez's full weight behind it, that caught him unaware (not a lucky punch to give credit to Martinez but a perfect shot thrown at the correct opening). Tell me how he was going to stand up to that? Don't give me that bull**** about Martinez being feather fisted, if you thought that was a feather fisted shot you know nothing about the mechanics of a punch good sir.

Something tells me that is likely what we are going to see. I think we have another Rahman-type glass jaw on our hands here.

I'm impressed Zak, this is like double...no TRIPLE you usual fail.:think

Williams has a pretty good chin, he was just nailed with a pretty good bomb.

Not taking anything away from Martinez though, this is great W on his record.:good

As for Williams, I don't know where he goes from here tbh. Back to LMW maybe?

It's not a glass jaw if the other guy has good power.

is no one allowed to get KO'd by a perfect punch w/o some ****** calling "glass jaw!"?

Seriously, Williams was going forward, Martinez was also moving forward, it hit right on the jaw, Williams didn't see it coming. Aren't all of those factors enough to explain the KO without having to resort to calling William's glass jawed? TS didn't even see the fight and he's already calling glass jaw! sheesh...

Just trying to get out ahead of the curve......:hey

In all seriousness, we'll see. If Williams get starched like this again, I think that will cinch it.

Also as you already mentioned Martinez does not have an impressive KO rate. There is no way to spin this at all. I am sure we will hear "That punch would have KOed anyone" etc. but we all know what a joke that is.

Seriously man, did you not see the bombs that Martinez was landing on Williams during the first fight? If William's were glass jawed, he would have been KO'd on the first fight. :patsch

I saw it. Like I said, it remains to be seen definitively whether Williams has a glass jaw. But his chin is now SERIOUSLY questionable.

Agreed, I still think it was a good bomb. But if he gets blasted like this again you maybe right about him.

He withstood some pretty good blows from Cintron so his chin can't be too bad, but I don't know of anyone else who could test his wiskers like they did.

Williams lost this fight not because of a weak chin but because he did not respect Martinez enough. He thought he could come in and be aggressive and win the fight. He has an 82 inch reach, and he was right in range of Martinez punch trying to hit Martinez. He didn't use his reach and he does not fight the way a tall man should. Thomas Hearns used to fight tall and his reach was 78, not 82 like Williams. Williams did not fight well. He made a mistake and got too close. If you are that tall why fight in the range of the shorter guy. Fact is he was trying to throw his punch, but Martinez being right there with shorter arms had the punch first. If Williams does not fight tall, what is the point to the rematch? He will lose again. He fought a bad fight no matter what people say about aggression. He gave away what he had. Weak chin? I don't think so. That punch would knock out anyone.

Zak, you normally get no push back from me on your chin assessments. But you have to admit that Martinez should have another KO win on his record with the Cintron fight (which he still won on the cards, but was robbed anyway). Martinez hit Cintron so hard with a punch he didn't see that Kermit thought it was a headbutt.

The man is deceptively powerful. Williams is defensively susceptible. Put the two together and you get knockouts. :bbb

I actually remember this. Not sure if it was from you, but I definitely remember an old timer saying this some time ago.

Oh, and change the ****ing record for a change, Zak :good
