Ok, that was a heavily produced promo, with multiple pans, fades, cuts, etc. They didn't pull these morsels of words out of their asses, and by that I mean the producers. There's an agenda here, shock and awe man.
Why would he hope to become the most avoided man in boxing? That's not a product of being good, that's a product of not being respected or marketable enough for the danger you pose. It's very much sincere to not have planned on being the most avoided. He wants to be the most sought after, which is the product of being both good and popular.
i don't get why you're trying to tell us it's marketing when everyone UNDERSTANDS that it's marketing, that doesn't mean you can't like the guy because of that... he's a professional fighter, he's trying to get paid
No, because if you're good (like Williams), then you'd expect to be able to land big fights with people like the Middleweight Champion of the world. It's one thing to be good but to be avoided like Williams is, I doubt he expected it to happen. However his answer about the worst thing about boxing surprised me. I thought he was going to say, "Kelly Pavlik." But then again, they're one in the same
Paul Williams is cool, always liked him. He's just in a sad situation with guys looking for big money fights and guys who just don't want to fight him, he will eventually force them in there sooner or later and it's sad to see he's jumping in three different weight divisions to make fights happen. If big names like Mayweather and others don't give him a shot at gold then who will?, why not give the future a chance?, the man is with ATG ability slowly going to waste. Hopefully he gets the Pavlik fight and the winner of Mayweather/Pacquiao.
Paul must be working on saying" NoewatIsayin a lot less. He used to say it after every sentence. It is his trademark. He does look heavier.
That reminds me of something I read about Tommy Hearns. I guess he used to work with a vocal trainer to work on his public speaking. Someone once said that Tommy worked hard not to answer every question with the word, "Mother****er"
I'm interested to see how the casuals will respond to PTP. Personally I enjoy listening to this guy talk about his ambitions. He has a compelling swag that has won me over. Partner that with his work rate and awkwardness and he has become one of my favorite fighters.
Anyone who is a real person should understand what he is saying about working to earn & keep soemthign you love.... if you cannot connect with that your either stupid or were born with a silver spoon up your *******
