:good He's often off balance when he's firing off shots, he also isnt hard to find. IMO you have to keep this man moving, get off before he does then tie him up so he cant let off any of those 10-15 punch combos he does.
Lance what r u talkin about?? HE SAID HE'D GO UP TO 168 AND IM SURE HE WOULDN'T TURN IT DOWN 1ST OFF.. 2ND THE STRONGEST GUY HE FOUGHT ISN'T KOLLE...WINKY WAS TOUGH AS WAS TONY...PAUL IS DOIN WHAT HE IS SUPPOSED TO DO..LETS SEE ANY OTHER WW MOVE UP TO 160 AND DO THAT TO WINKY...:deal
Williams is a great boxer, but I do see someone like Kirkland, who can take his shots and fire back, giving him problems. Winky just sat there like he was target practice last night, I have never seen Paul Williams so happy for a round to begin.......he had the biggest smile on his face because he knew he couldnt be hurt and he wasnt going to lose! But a dangerous fighter Like Kirkland who is wild and a little crazy, might just challenge him in ways no one else will.
I've mentioned the arm punches in a few threads now. Yeah, volume with no power is not exciting. Pavlik has had fights with a similar output. Who would you rather be in that fight? Not a hard one to figure out.
People seem to agree this is the wrong way to build 'fight muscle'. It can be counter productive. He is NOT going to clean out the MW division, especially while Pavlik and Abraham are around.
I'm sure he doesn't beat Pavlik and pretty sure about Abraham. He could possibly eek out a points victory over Abraham by boring us all to death. Just paint the front of the gloves white now.....:tired
Paul Williams needs to work on his sloppy footwork. He gets lazy and starts slapping instead of setting his feet and putting some juice behind his punches. Williams did that in the Margarito fight and that is why I gave the fight to Antonio. Memo to Lampley and crew, just because you throw millions of punches does not mean you win the fight.
Williams keeps promising to set down on his punches more, but I haven't seen any real difference yet. However, he's a lot more likely to keep working on that promise than Eddie Chambers constant promises for an increased workrate.
I doubt he changes at this point in his career. He isn't a born KO puncher, he is a slickster than can get away with that against shorter, smaller guys. If he stays at MW it will be his undoing.
You were the same person who said Hops didn't have a chance against Pavlik. Nobody can beat Pavlik in your opinion - he's unbeatable.
You're another loser. You've been on ESB for a hot minute (unless you have other handles you're using which I suspect you do) yet you tried to minimize Mosely's thrashing of you cheating ass hero Margarcheto. GTFOH!
He is by Paul Williams at this point. Paul does not have the power to make Kelly respect him. That was evident last night.
Dude, saying he will and doing it are two different things. Some of those guys @ 168 are THICK and strong. Williams is a guy who can still make 147 remember. that's all I'm saying. Winky is strong, yes. But he doesn't punch with pop. And SD..ease up on the all caps. Cheers! :thumbsup
