Terrible news about Williams.....I'm not much of a fan of his ****ing about with weight but paralysis for anyone is bad enough but for an elite athlete it must be sheer torture.

This is the worrying thing. Maybe he's in denial right now, and it hasn't really dawned on him what he could be facing. I hope he's gonna be okay.

 

Who knows where we will be in 20 years with Stem Cell Research and Nuerorobotics.

 

I suspect he's very grateful that he's not dead. He seems very screwed on.

 

Having lost my cousin to a motorcycle accident I feel drawn to Paul at this time. I just hope he gets the same luck Richard Hammond got.

I hope you're right. A lot of the time you just never know. They might be cracking jokes, and acting like they're fine on the outside, but what they're actually feeling might be very different.

Been told that Paul Williams will not have spinal surgery today and that it will instead be postponed by a few days.

Was he wearing a helmet and protective leathers? My sympathy goes down a bit if he wasn't.

 

He had a specially fitted helmet, if he had a regular helmet on he'd be dead.
