If he can make the weight then he is a welterweight. He was doing it for years and you know damn well how skinny he is. The guy is a beast and he has been kicking ass at 147, 154 and 160. Your boy Pavlik is next for an ass whooping.

What is to say that Forrest is truely 6' as well tho? Why is it that we are bringing Paul's height only in to question with this? On top of that, height is relative when looking at a picture from the waist up. Different footwear adds different heights...as a pair of Tims will give you about 2" on someone who is in sneakers (depending on the Tims).

I dont trust any height listings in sports that do not even publicly measure them. In the NFL for instance (I truely believe Jacobs is 100% 6'4) they look at height down to the millimeter at the combines, where as it is provided by agents and training staffs in sports like boxing...or even more laughably the NBA (where teams release heights but never publicly measure them...not even in pre-draft camps). I remember Charles Barkely was 6'8 when entering the league with the Sixers...yet was listed at 6'4 in his own biography (did he shrink?). Another story on this is personal...see, I am 5'6, not tall at all. I worked at a club some years back and was able to meet Alan Iverson in VIP after I did a show (very cool dude btw). Anyway, he was MAYBE 3 or 4" taller than me...TOPS...yet his bio stated he was 6"1 at the time and says 6' now.

Like I said...height is something that should be paid attention to the second they start measuring it during weigh ins (much like they do for reach pre-fight). But do you know why they dont??? BECAUSE IT DOESNT MAKE A ****ING DIFFERENCE IN THE LONG RUN!!! Its a weight class, not a height class.

(and if you ask me, Williams is about 6'2 - 6'3...purely opinion tho)

great post. for years now williams has said he wanted the biggest fights, it says something when wins against wright and phillips don't satisfy him. he chased mosley, he got ducked. now pavlik v williams is actually gonna happen. i personally see williams as a very good boxer, but its hard trying to remind myself he got completely outboxed by quintana that night
