why do people hate on something thats about to be so special...

floyd mayweather , miguel cotto, and paul williams should all be celebrated

1 is the best fighter of the 00's
the other 2 are some of the best up and comers in all of boxing

hating is pointless and neither is over rated at all....

 

I don't hate williams but im not a fan either.

He's a fraud IMO.

 

pw wont be able to make 147 much longer..and i think once he has to move up to 54 or 60 he wont be as effective because right now he is really sloppy with his boxing...plus his power isnt that great...and he wont have the size advantage

hes destroyed his opposition in convincing fashion up to this point
has a good attitude inside & outside the ring
works hard
is talented (regardless of its by god given freakish ability , or plain skill)
is exciting and owes up to his promises

well you say he wont be able to make it for much longer... but for him to be in 147 for his size now is a miracle so only time can tell us whats in store for him..

for now he is top 4 in the division with no arguments and we should all be excited to see young star rising... especially with the so called " death of boxing era" amongst us

I say he's a fraud because he's not what his fans make him out to be.. His victory over margarito was far from convincing and im not buying into his hype. He's not the next tommy hearns and he's no knockout artist like his fans believe. Stylistically, he would have the best chance against mayweather but that also has something to do with him fighting much below his natural weight. He's more like a middleweight who's fighting smaller men and that's cheating IMO.

 

same way i feel...but if he wants to kill himslef making weight then let him...i think he's good but its way too much hype so early...he's not on cotto's level and no where near Pbf's level...i'll wait and see what happens after the quitana fight...i think he'll only fight 2 times this year..his next fight being a mandatory...i feel that he's waiting for a big fight and he cant make the weight much longer so he's trying to cash out....he'll only be at ww for like 2 more years...and i dont think he will be effective if he didnt have those size advantages....he comes into fights like 160 plus...so what weight does he walk around...he keeps draining and someone will knock him the **** out

 

your taking peoples words out of context.. when they say hes the next tommy hearns they dont say that because "he is the next " tommy hearns but only because thats who his style is hte most similar too... freakishly long arms and extreme out put... thats about where the comparison ends ... and you act like its his fault that for is weight and he does it on purpose.... when god created this man he wasnt thinking... oh well since floyd is going to be so good ill make a middle weight who can go down to welter weight... hes just a biggerman who can weigh less... dont knock him for it..

I'm not hating on him at all. I want to see him develop more and face some more good opponents before we throw him in there with the p4p#1 PBF. I think PBF eats him up at this point. This is why I want to see PBF fight Cotto, because Cotto is READY for the challenge. He faced some great fighters in 2007 and noticeably got better from fight to fight. Don't you want the same for Williams so he can be at his best? I completely agree that stylistically he is a nightmare for Floyd, but physical matchups alone don't win fights. I say get him 3 more great opponents this year (not Margo again though, I say put him up against Judah actually) and then push hard for PBF-PW in early '08 when Williams is more seasoned cause he is still making dumb mistakes in the ring that PBF will eat up
