I cant go by a first round KO..weather or not a fighter has the skill to beat someone over 12 rounds..

He def has power and caught Quintana, simple as that. Not the first time Quintana has been stopped early in a fight.

was it impressive? hell yeah.. thats how you make a statement when coming off a loss..

he should have given margo the oppurtunity to like Quintana did

He took the fight , fell out of grace with Arum and almost got Sued , it was Goosen that saved Antonio for getting sued buy Arum .

After that fight was done Arum resumed control of his fighter and who he would fight next and it was not williams. So even if Williams had said yes Arum would have said no..

Also remember Arum stance on the out come on the fight was that he though Antonio lost and should have not taken the fight per his instructions.

So no he wouldn't have taken the second fight with out Arum , if he did it would have been in breach of contract and Arum could have and would have stopped the fight from happening.

To answer your question on whether or not Paul has skills all you have to do is look at anyone of his previous fights. He never had to prove he could outbox Carlos b/c his skills have been showcased numerous times.

The question about Paul in the rematch with Carlos was which Paul was going to show up! And judging from how solid Carlos is and has proven as a legitimate WW contender the 1st round KO was a HUGE surprise! No one has ever KO'd Carlos as devasting or as quickly as Paul.

No one can make any excuses b/c Carlos #1...was coming off a pretty easy Victory over Paul....he wasn't beat up at all and the confidence was through the roof for Quintana......the one thing that may have happened is Carlos was over confident...it happens, but I doubut it.

Afterwards Carlos never expressed wanting to redeem himself, or made any kind of excuses. His body language and lack of communication as a boxer stated he knows he was beaten by the better man and didn't think it was necessary to do it again.

Paul will fight Marg again....and Paul did try to make the fight happen....unfortunatley it was after Margs tremendous preformance agaisnt Cotto and Marg was weighing out his many options. Since Paul made Marg wait....Tony just returned the favor.

But ultimately......PW vs AM is the fight at WW that everyone wants and which means the most. Promoters and camps from all the top WW's out there are seeing $$$....there are so many great potential match ups out there that boxing fans can't loose.

Margo would have said yes, he asked for the rematch..

It wasnt a BREACH of contract when he fought Williams..

there was a verbal agreement that he would go along with Arum to set up a fight with Cotto, instead MARGO AND SERGIO DIAZ his manager went with the purse bid that Goosen won and took the fight.

How come Arum couldnt stop the first fight then ??

stop with your excuses man..PW nor Goosen NEVER said Arum wouldnt allow the second fight, or said th esecond fight couldnt be made.. they told MArgo to get back in line and that they were moving forward... when this was brought UP recently Goosen'S ONLY answer was "who cares who asked for the rematch first ? "..

he never said "oh the fight couldnt have gotten made ",,thats CRAP THAT you make up

I agree with most of your post. Although I m pretty sure quintana would take a 3rd fight, but we know Goosen aint havent it, just like he wouldnt give MArgo the immediate rematch

From the AV it looks like he'd be 6"2. But that ain't accounting for footwear/positioning. It certainly didn't look like 4 inches at fight time.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Quintana's only other loss came at the hands of Cotto who beat him into submission after the 5th round. Is this what you ment when saying he was stopped early?

I'm sure Carlos would accept a 3rd fight as well. But he's not working for it at all. Like Marg was asking and pleading for a rematch with Paul....that kind of act never came from Carlos after the rematch and even Paul asking for the immediate rematch with Carlos after the 12 round domination. But you know the deal with the business side of boxing...it's a bit frustrating at times...there are just as many fights on the business side as there are in the ring...if not more!

Yeah! Your avatar speaks volumes for the size difference.....Height wise at least....Frame looks about the same, both are really big WWs. Paul is just long and lanky.
