Williams is the only threat PBF has left at 147 because Cotto can't do it folks....Cotto will get hit way too much against PBF with his style, and he won't land his bodyshots because he will get countered badly when he tries....now Paul Williams has the tools needed, a long tall frame with a steady jab and endless punch output throughout the fight....thats what it takes to have a real chance at beating PBF and Williams provides that....Williams is 6' 1", so there's no way PBF at 5' 8" won't have problems with Williams' jab....forget about Cotto people, Williams is the true threat to PBF....:deal

This is the one guy PBF won't (and is smart enough not to) fight. He would more than likely lose due to not being able to get to Paul and Paul jabbing the hell out of him. My pinion' only. :yep

Williams was rocked several times by Margarito who has no defence and no speed, especially compared to Mayweather...

Floyd would surely suffer a bit with Williams, but he would stop him in the second half of the fight.

Yep. Williams wouldn't need to exert that much energy because of his plan to jab the snot out of PBF all night long. This would be interesting. First time we would see PBF forced to fight going forward.

I said this for months. The size and upper body and reach of Williams would give Floyd all kinds of hell. Plus he throws a lot of punches per round. Floyd would be on the defensive and he can not counter punch all of that. He will have to come forward and put the fight to Williams. I see no one beating that type of boxer in that division except maybe Cotto who would risk getting up close and to the body but that would even be dangerous for him.

PW has a problem staying on balance. Floyd movement would cause PW a lot of problems. You can't jab what's not there. Floyd would pot shot PW all fight long. Buy PW chasing Floyd all night, he would tired like he usually do around mid rounds. Exactly what Floyd wants, a tired and fatigued fighter. Mayweather by UD, possible late TKO.

we've already seen PBF going forward and that was against Zab....and PBF looked nowhere near unbeatable when he fought Zab....Williams is much more composed and confident than Zab, plus he has huge height and reach on PBF....it would be a bootleg Leonard/Hearns....

I don't know if you've noticed but Paul Williams is a nobody. PBF has reached Oscar type status where he only need fight the big money fights against proven opposition...even if it's not the top guy out there he better be known and bring something to the table or its gonna be a 90/10 split

PW is 6' 1, PBF is 5' 8....how in the hell is PBF going to potshot PW? PBF would have to be in close to potshot, because the reach and height he gives up to PW is too much for him NOT to take risks....PW can just stand tall and pump that jab into PBF all night long, and would up to PBF to have to try and come in....and when PBF gets inside, PW will throw more punches in bunches and he can do this all night....this is the fight that needs to happen if PBF continues to fight....

Floyd would not stop Williams - he could counterpunch him and land the clean shots - but Williams has tools to give Floyd all he can handle.

i never said PW deserves a fight with PBF, i just see him as the biggest threat to PBF at 147 down....if PBF doesn't fight PW, he's not ducking him, but it would be a big challenge if PBF takes this fight in the future....

I dunno..williams, even though he throws a lot of punches, is very poor in the accuracy department.

that's cool, but can you state HOW Cotto is a bigger threat than 6' 1, nonstop punching, Paul Williams?

This fight would be very easy for Floyd because PW can't hurt him and his jab is a flicker not a solid jab.

Secondly Floyd is SMART and so is his training...Floyd would smother PW so that long rach would become negated...while inside PW will try to tie up like he did Margo but Floyd is very good on the inside and PW will be hit with accurate punches on the inside and Floyd's body work is ver good PW's elusiveness is good for fighting outside...his inside defense is not that good...Floyd would dismantle him.....he is just to versatile to fight someone who can't hurt him....PW can't HURT HIM:nono
