Why every time someone picks against Williams you gotta be a "hater"....man gtfoh dude people are entitled to whom they feel would win a match right or wrong...get over it! I think Cotto beats Williams but Williams would be Margo again and we all saw what happened to Cotto against Margo~styles make fights bustahs!!

Yea, Cotto couldn't even reach Paul Williams without heels.

And I'm not trying to say Cotto cant fight, but Williams is hardly a glass jaw and he just has to much output and is to physically imposing for Cotto. It would look exactly like the Margarito fight.

And dont forget, Williams has far greater then speed then Margo and just as much, if not more punch output on any given night.

Also the angles Williams will throw from. Margo is pretty much Straight Forward with his punches where as Williams punches come from every which way. This would be a bad night for Cotto, and I don't ever expect to see this fight happen.

Like i said from what i saw in the 1st Quintana fight and the Margo/Cotto fight im very confident Cotto would definetly pull a win over the tall lanky Williams.Plus if Cotto is as smart as he seems to be he would take what he learned from his loss to the taller Margo and apply it against Williams .Again Williams does have a good chin but if he would have caught that 4 piece combo that Miguel landed on Tonys head Williams would have been hurt.Hell any other welter would have been in trouble.

Thats not totally true cause Margo does throw in alot of angles especially uppercuts.Just because Margo did what he did against Cotto does not mean that the same will automatically happen against Miguel.Styles make fights...i see Cotto slipping in and out and countering Williams til he gets a decision or late stoppage.Again Williams is not a pressure fighter

Margo throws uppercuts here and there (very effective ones at that). But what I mean is that Williams moves in and out, sidesteps, while fighting inside. The man fights like a cyclone at times. And aside from the first quintana fight, Williams is usually coming forwards.

Agree! If it was PW on the receiving end of those bombs that Cotto was landing on Margarito, PW wouldve been in trouble. I think people are underestimating Cotto's abilities, he demonstrated that he can box and be accurate agaisnt taller fighters, and if Quintana did it, Cotto is more than capable of doing it.

Yea quintana also got iced by the focused Paul Williams in one round. And Quintana is no slouch aside from what many people think for some reason.

But im done with this thread, this fight will never Materialize, Cotto and his handlers know exactly what will happen to Cotto if he gets in with the punisher. The size difference plus the output is just to much for Cotto. And if Paul Williams could take the five or six hundered punches Margarito hit him with what makes you think he cant take Cottos. You all are still living in the fantasy world where Cotto has hands of stone. Cottos power is in numbers, and dont expect Cotto to land any significant amount of punches against the harder working out of reach williams.

Fair enough Williams does have a very high work rate and that could cause problems for Cotto but im not entirely sold on how effective he is.I mean dont get me wrong if he tightens up his accuracy and holes in his armor he could easily beat anyone but he still needs more polishing and Quintana proved that 1st time round. If Cotto and Williams where to hypothetically fight today i got Cotto 60/40 easy due to Cottos better resume and experience. Now if Williams keeps on winning against quality top ranked opponents and they where to fight in the near future(maybe by like next year) then i would have it 50/50....Either way he would give Miguel hell.

I respect your opinon. And I will gladly bet you cash money if this fight ever happens, god willing. But youre forgetting the facts, Williams had like twice the connect percentage over margo over the first six rounds, and not much less during the last half of the fight. The man can do some mystical things with his Mr. Fantastic rubber arms. I've always been blown away on how he can be so effective inside with those spider arms.

Point taken. But Cotto crumbled under Iron Mans punishment, and the Punisher Prevailed under the same pressure, and looked damn good doing it. I imagine you guys would all be singing a different tune had the first Quintana fight ended the way the second one did.
