Any thoughts on this? A 154 lb fighter/fight would be ok, but 147 is TOO SMALL at this stage.

Even SRL needed to wait until Hagler was declining before barely beating him in a close fight.

No **** mayn. That's why most people think he'd be ****ing decapitated if he were to step into the ring with Pavlik right now.

This fight is most likely not going to happen according to some reports out there.

I didn't know that 6'2 ... was too small for Pavlik ... the weight will come ... he's a middleweight when he steps into the ring on fight night.

It takes a decent period of time to put on 13 pounds of muscle.

    That nonsense again.
Leonard was coming from a 3 year lay-off, was having drug related issues and it was his first fight at Middleweight. So Leonard wasn't exactly prime material that night.

Williams doesn't have to be 160 + to be effective ... he can weight in at 155 or 158 ... then rehydrate to whatever it maybe fight night.

Its all about comfort ... and i'm sure that Pavlik isn't making weight easily ...

Paul's style will give Pavlik fits. This is a type of fight that Kelly have KO advantage while Paul have Decision advantage being so much faster and slicker than Pavlik.

What and you think Kelly Pavlik walks around at 160 pounds? Gee whiz a fighter walking around a substantial weight above their fighting weight, who would have ever thought?

He can't just throw on 13 pounds of fat, he is going to have to build up the muscle if he wants to retain any power at MW, which isn't easy whilst doing high cardio workouts.

I'm not saying he couldn't do it, at his height he belongs there, but it would take time, and he would still get his arse handed to him.

Depends how he carries the weight. he is a huge welter. H emay be better at middle than at welter without having to work so hard to make weight. You take someone like Shane Mosley he jumped straight from lightweight to Welterweight with no problems at all and whooped some ass. Or you take someone like Diego Corrales he looked huge, you would have thought he could fill out welterweight nicely and instead he got beat badly. Which one Paul will be remains to be seen.
