    I agree.

I watched HBO's vid on him and he is a good guy too. I hope he takes it all the way.

He is a genetic freak though. Fighting at 147 is amazing.

I've openly criticized people for bringing up the Quintana fight in relation to Pavlik/Williams because of the obvious size and style differences. However, after watching that highlight clip I remembered that one reason I knew Pavlik could beat Taylor was the Ouma fight. Not that Pavlik/Ouma are similar, but I knew if Jermain let KP back him up and unload the way Ouma did, KP would win. I said all that to say, if KP hits PW with flush left hooks and rights the way Quintana did, it's over on the spot.

Quintana almost knocked him out! This is why i don't like the KP fight for him.

Shane did it. Shane always really been a welter motha****ah had bones coming out his face check him out vs john the beast brown that was the end of his lightweight career. His dad wanted to get more kos out of him
he looks healthy were he is now.

anyway Paul Williams gonna clean up I think he has ww speed and if he continues to fight like calslappy he will win.

Quintana also bullied Paul in the clinches. That doesn't bode well for "the most feared fighter in boxing!"

I love the way Quintana fights. I know he got smoked in the rematch but still. He wasn't gunshy in the first fight against such a big guy with huge reach, fully committed to his punches in that fight. It was entertaining.

To be fair, Pavlik fights absolutely nothing like Quintana. Nor does Floyd, but being a slick counter-puncher he's more comparable than Pavlik. Williams is just far too porous defensively and sloppy offensively to get anything going against Floyd. I may even have to change my pick in the Pavlik fight. I think Williams will give him hell for a few rounds, but eventually it's hard to see Pavlik not getting through with at least one big bomb, if he can set himself well enough through Paul's unorthodox punching technique. Then it all comes down to Williams's durability. I might have to change my pick to Pavlik by late rounds TKO while down on the cards, though. Not quite yet, but I wouldn't be surprised by it.

I've seen every Pavlik fight that is on film, many of them several times, and I'd be fascinated to know when Pavlik turned into a brawler. Guys who throw mostly srtaight punches down the middle, control distance with their jab, and will work their asses off to avoid infighting, are anything but brawlers.

Williams got way too cocky in the first Quintana fight, took it too lightly. He won't make that mistake again. Anyone is beatable. That said, if Williams eats any of Pavlik's overhand rights the night will quickly be over. Floyd: different story; Williams by UD. He could just sit four feet away and pot shot his way to a win.

Well, you may be interested to learn that in a very recent interview Pav specifically mentioned PW's unorthodox style. He said he throws from all kinds of crazy angles, and everytime he does it leaves him open to something right down the middle. I think that's a good point.

Like basketball players who have all the interest in the world to be rated taller than they are for recruiters and coaches, boxers sometimes are better off showing smaller than they actually are.

I'm 6'3 myself and I fight at 160, and my coach never says that I am 6'3..He always says I'm around 6.
