    Paul Williams has a lot to say these days. On fighting Mosley, and Margo backing down from him;

    “I would definitely take the Mosley fight. I don't see them calling us. I definitely don't see that. We made offers to them plenty of times. That's not even in the ball park. I'm past Margarito now. He's not going to fight me. They offered him all sorts of money and he turned it down. We offered him $4 million, but it's a tough $4 million. What's the point of fighting him now? I'm looking for bigger and better fights,”

    Williams on Margo backing out of Mosley fight;

    “I believe the money with Mosley wasn't what he thought it would be and he knows that Mosley stands a chance of beating him and that would knock him out of the picture. I think he felt it was too risky and a loss would make his marketability go down. He probably wants to see what the purse will be for the Cotto rematch, maybe $3 or 4 million, but I doubt it. I thought Cotto was busting Margarito up until he got stopped. He just couldn’t keep up with the stamina and the pressure of Margarito. Margarito just kept on coming and he couldn't keep up once he got tired.”

    Williams' trainer on Margo;

    "Is that the same Margarito we're talking about? Yeah, that's the same Margarito. That's the guy who said a while back that he couldn't get a fight, that everyone was running from him. The Tijuana Tornado turned into a soft breeze off of South Beach,"

    On fighting Dzinziruk;

    “Of course, that would be my next move. I know he's good fighter. I heard he gets paid well out there, so I might have to take a trip to Germany. You can be the best dog in your town, but when you go out of town and start whooping on people, then you are the best dog,”

    On fighting Pavlik;

    “The guys at welterweight don't want to fight nobody. I had to move up. We'll go back to 160 too; it's no problem for me. I'd love to go in there with Kelly [Pavlik]. He's still the champion. The hardest part is to get them to sign the contract. All they do is talk on the internet all day. We don't back down from anyone. I want my fans to know that I plan to put on a good show on November 29 with Verno Phillips. I got a birthday beating to hand out.”

    I can agree with this...... Margarito had a spoiler when he was scheduled to fight Cotto in Williams and doesnt want to take any chances. He has however damaged his credibility among hardcore boxing fans. He talked much crap about PBF and now he is the PBF of boxing by not fighting who the fans want him to fight in either Mosley or Williams.

    I feel bad for PTP because his career gets hurt when nobody with a name is willing to fight him. Hopefully the fighting spirit inside of Margarito will return and these two will settle their unfinished business.

    Paul's career will be fine. After he dusts off Phillips he should go after Dzinziruk, then Forrest. If he gets past those two, he'll become a credible opponent for Pavlik.

    I'd like to see Williams face Dzinziruk next since he says he'll go to Germany to face him.

    yea margo lost alot of credibility and imo williams is gaining it by moving up in weight and deciding to stop beating up on welterweights i like that move and would love to see him dominate 154 and 160

    but with that said i dont think mosley is a threat at all hes lost it if mayorga gave him all he could handle imagine what margo would do but theres nothing else for margo to do so he should have takin the 2 mil hes being stupid and not taking advantage of his name while hes in the boxing spotlight

    I hope Williams finds a way to lure Margarito into a fight.

    I can't believe this **** from Margo. Doesn't he and/or his team know this behaviour is hurting his image badly? :nono

    Don't feel bad for Williams. A 6'3 behemoth with an 82" reach boiling himself down to Welterweight and Super Welterweight to knowingly and deliberately fight opponents who have to give up 30" isn't a victim.
