Your right. He may even stop Phillips and Forest is a question mark. Santos and Dzinziruk are much better matches. If by some chance Williams lures Marg to fight, then at what weight class? Williams will lose if he goes back down after staying at JMW for at least two of the above mentioned fighters. If it happens someday, it will be at JMW.

I agree with you to some extent, but imagine being Margarito. He's in the trenches for years and years, dreaming of fighting the likes of Shane Mosley - and finally that day comes along and the offer is an extremely modest $2M. The economy is ****, and Mosley is a shell of his former self, but that would still seem like chicken feed money, wouldn't it? Margarito has Mexico firmly behind him at this point, a large and powerful demographic. That's a low ball offer, is it not?

If he goes after Dzindziruk next i'll become one of his biggest fans, whether he wins or loses. Super fight to make in my eyes.

A few moths ago I would have (and probably did somewhere) said emphatically, "No ****ing way!". But now...? I'm starting to wonder.

I give him much respect for letting go of home ground advantage, especially as many Americans don't travel, to go and fight abroad. Winky used to do it all over Europe and South Africa - and one of the reasons Winky is my favourite. Well done - if he goes through with it.

Margarito acts like because every single person in every single division isn't banging on his door to fight him for wild, extravagant sums of money, that he's terribly avoided. He discredits himself by turning down these fights. Mosley gave Cotto a great fight and I believe could give Margarito some trouble. We'll never know, apparently.

If Mosley is so easy, a "shell of his former self", why not beat him up for the two million, further setting himself up for more money? Two million is a lot of money in any economy.

Depending on the details of this negotiation, Margarito may want to make a business point. Sure, he could make more money in the future by rolling over Mosley and increasing his brand - but if he agrees to these terms and allows a pattern to establish itself; they can shave costs against Margarito again. And again. And again.

That is all understood, but 2 million is better than nothing and waiting and waiting. Yes, he was poor and fought his way up, but again, 2 Million? If he puts a beating and is the first to stop Mosley, can you spell mucho pesos. Margarito needs to make another statement for all to take him seriously. Most of us are already jumping off the wagon and calling him a ducker, when all is not said and done. This could all be hearsay and the fight could still happen. Paul Williams is sure doing alot of talking. He wasn't talking when Quintana beat his ass and it could happen again with Phillips if he doesn't focus on one opponent.
