Paul Williams - Margo is afraid to take a chance

Sure, and Margarito's not getting any younger. Mosley would put Margarito to the test, which is the bottom line. It would be the scariest two million dollars Margarito ever considered.

The IBF will not sanction the fight because Williams is not ranked by them. Phillips IBF mandatory is Spinks, by virute of Sechew Powell losing. Phillips has been there and done that and wants to fight Paul Williams instead and was apparently willing to vacate the IBF title to do so. I still don't think its clear whether he'll be forced to vacate that title because of this fight or not. For the time being, this is strictly a WBO interim-junior middleweight title fight. Dumbass.:hat

 

who is there to fight at welter who wouldnt be looked at as a stay busy fight. Margarito by virtue of popularity contest is the man at WW even though he already lost to PW.

If paul fought anyone other than AM it would be pointless at WW. then he ventures into fighting at other weights to establish himself there so that when he wants that title shot it will be sanctioned by commissions.

Whatever AM shouldnt waste this time he has in the limelight and should be pursuing the fight with PW the man who already beat him. that would make him the real champ in the eyes of boxing fans not just his fans.

 

If PW or Williams fought Mosley, Clottey or Cotto instead of eachother I would give them credit

 

i would give him credit for beating those guys. they are all legit guy to put on your record and it would give him another strap and in the long run it would be good on his record as well but it would be more linear than anything for his standings right now. there is only one man to beat at that weight that he is concerned with and that fight seems to be the furthest thing away from his antonio's mind.


dont get me wrong at all. the punisher is the man at welterweight and he understands this whole popularity contest thing with antonio and pursuing that fight to put an end to this and that is the only way he sees it as ending and i do as well.

 

for some reason margarito's fans think because he didint get knocked out in the fight with williams it wasnt a loss. newsflash the guy is pretty damn tough.

it even seems the networks are even touting Margo as the man at WW. you would think after the cotto fight they would call him out like they do with other fighters a bit more and say when are you going to avenge atleast one of your losses. i mean you turned down a fight with mosely for a dream fight with oscar and a rematch with a guy you already beat.
