Not to mention the Hatton fight was in high demand and half the posters on here were picking Hatton to win. Gatti fight was also in high demand with a large portion picking Gatti, what ensued was the probably the all time biggest beatdown/outclassing of a very good champion. Judah was also in high demand and baldomir was necessary after he beat Judah. Margarito and Cotto are the only guys you can make a case for but Cotto turned Floyd down at 140 claiming to be too green and obviously De La Hoya was a bigger fight than Margo.

You can't even make a case for that, Floyd had no problem fighting either one But Arum lowballed him. People who overlook this just simply areb't interested in the truth.

Floyd won the first 6 w/o a lot of questions, so thats half the fight now Castillo didnt win 6 straight & both got a point deduction...most experts had Floyd getting the nod by 1 if not that a draw but no clear loser but Castillo clearly was taught a boxing lesson in the rematch

so only guys who made sense timeline wise was Cotto and Mosley. Floyd did take care of Mosley.

marg was too faulty to even consider.

If Mosley and DLH didn't procrastinate then they would have been Mayweather's first 2 fights at WW(2005). Then he would have retired and probably came back for 1 or 2 big fights(2007-2008. Probably vs Hatton and Cotto then called it quits.

When Mayweather was willing to face Cotto and Hatton at 140 they weren't ready. When Mayweather was willing to face Hoya and Mosley at 147 they weren't ready.

People act as if Corley, Gatti, Judah, Baldo and Hoya weren't ****. Yet there aren't many 130 pders that would have been able to move up in weight and beat them like Mayweather did, Only great ones would.

I agree, I think williams would have beaten him as well, im not sure about margarito and cotto but williams would be a great win for floyd, maybe his best.
williams fault is moving up while being avoided, that way he gave other guys a excuse to avoid him, he should stick to 154 and try to take over, he is deifnitely capable.

Hatton is the champ? At what division?

Hatton was the champ at 140, Jr. Welter but was forced to move up to welter. Hatton weigh in at 145.

Check your facts before you post. :deal

Nope ,, Floyd negotiated a 3 fight deal with Bob Arum, where floyd would get 7mill for each 3 fights which were margarito, Cotto and Hatton ..
Floyd believed he could get more fighting hatton alone then he could get for all three fights for the amount Arum was offering.
Also keep in mind, Cotto's people including Arum did not think cotto was ready for Floyd when Floyd was at 140..

They fail to face those facts. Better yet I can help them out more by adding to what you said.

Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million.

Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn't interested in participating in.

"That's not in the cards," Arum said. "He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It's not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. We'll talk about things down the road." :deal

What are you talking about? He/she said Gatti like he was nothing and I said Gatti was ranked number 1 at 140 and Hatton was the champ at 140. I wasn't talking about Mayweather fighting him at welter. Understand what people are saying before you post :good
