On an interview, Paul Williams says,

"We had 47 and noboby would fight us there."

" I heard that Clottey has been calling me out but I don't fight no losers."

    Thoughts?

Didn't he just fight an inactive Winky who was coming off of a loss? Didn't he fight an Andy "Nobody" Kolle?

“I want to fight Paul Williams very, very much,” Clottey told ***********.com. “I want to fight that guy. I want to fight Paul Williams. He’s a weak welterweight. He’s a weak welterweight so I want to fight him.”from .....................................................

he's calling Paul out. Clottey only lose to Cotto, Margarito (w/ the help of bricks?) and Baldomir. 2 were UD and the other was DQ. No TKO, he ain't no LOSER.

My point exactly...He already gets enough flack as it is...I dont blame him one bit for going after something bigger.

I don't really blame him, but at some point you have to move on and take what's out there. Shane didn't get Pacquiao, Williams isn't getting Shane, and what else is out there? Cintron? Dzinziruk? Clottey just had megafight exposure, that's worth something.

I don't either, but don't cry no one will fight you when a top 147 pounder does.

i think he would get more respect form fighting the 6 foot tall Dzinziruk at this point then fighting Clottey a fighter who losses b/c of inactivity vs the most active fighter i know.

Clottey doesnt bring anything to the table....He doesnt have a belt, doesnt bring money to the table, isnt undefeated...so fighting him has no real reward plus if PWILL doenst get Pavlik he can always fight Sergei Dzinziruk(who is at least a champ)

If I'm not mistaked he's in talks with Dzinziruk...

Thats the exact samething he did with Winky fight...Even though he was coming off a lost to Hopkins...Winky was the best availiable...The Pavlik\Williams fight fell through...At the time Arum wouldnt deal with him Goosen...So I cant really knock Williams for taking the Winky fight...This time around...Williams has a more options this time...If all fail, then a fight with Clottey should be proposed IMO.

Clottey is like the 4th best Welter....PWILL wants to fight the best so if its not Cotto/Mosley its no one

Didnt he already try to get a fight with Clottey but HBO didnt fund the fight? So now that he gotten a little bit more exposure...why should Williams chase after Clottey...if I'm not mistaked didnt Arum say he wasnt going to do business with Gossen any more...So how is the fight going to happen anyways given that Arum doesnt deal with Goosen? As I've stated earlier..I dont blame him for not fighting Clottey.:good
