George Peterson is out of his league. That's obvious. What a waste of talent. Williams could've done some great things with a guy like Steward or anyone just competent. Even with his flaws, he beat Margarito, Martinez and Quintana.

Williams really had the physical tools to be an ATG, Peterson really, really, and I do really mean this, ****ed up bigtime. Biggest waste of talent in the last 20 years.

Well either way people will complain. If Paul williams worked on technique and used distance then people would be crying that he fights like Dawson.

That doesn't sound too good for a boxing trainer. No wonder Paul Williams hasn't improved all these years. Ultimately though, it's Williams' responsibility to make a change. He's got no-one to blame but himself.

Williams does not have to have boxing skills because he knows his judges will always give him the decision! Lara was cheated and so was Martinez in the first fight!

That not the point, if paul keeps fighting the style he has now, the next time he fights he may be taken out on a stretcher.

He to game a fighter not to have some type of defense. This thread was not made to dis William but a genuine concern for the man's health and safety.

This is what the **** is wrong with Williams. He needs a new trainer. He has gone as far as Peterson can take him. It's not Paul Williams who should retire, it's Peterson.

Williams should get a new trainer, someone who can teach him to use his height and make him into a technical fighter. He cannot continue on as a brawler in the higher weights. He knows its just a matter of time before he gets caught again.

He should learn now, he's only 29. He has enough time to learn enough basic techniques to fight 3 or 4 more fights and he could win the majority of them if trained right.

If Emmanuel Steward got his hands on Paul Williams as a teenager, he would be unbeatable at 147 and 154. I can't think of a more physically gifted guy. He's been such a waste of ability.

He's the same height as Chad Dawson, he has a longer reach than Wlad and the stamina to throw 100 punches a round for twelve rounds. When you take this into account, you'd have to think of Paul Williams as a massive underachiever.

What Champion has Roger Mayweather trained that makes you think he is competent? Roach on the other hand would be a decent match, or Shields, or Steward.

Steward should get in contact with Williams.

Jessie Vargas is looking pretty good. Also you can't hate on Roger, he's done a very good job with Floyd combined with Floyd Sr.
Imagine if Mike Jones was to switch with Roger Mayweather
