I voted fairly high. Has the tools to win some fights and become big among boxing fans. But I don't think he can be a mainstream draw because he's not outspoken nor charisimatic enough. But he does seem like a nice guy.

he needs to fight a big name to become a big name, unfortunately no one wants to fight him.

Those guys are also legends for what they did IN the ring, besides smiling. It helps with popularity, no doubt, but it's not as big a factor as you're suggesting.

i didnt suggest that he could just sit there and smile at the world and people would love him....

im saying if he keeps winning he has a good look to him

i voted fairly high, i think paul williams should just keep doing what he is doing and then somebody will come calling.......and i do think paul seems like a nice guy.....

maybe he needs to get away from goosen eventually, go with a top rank or GBP...

I say moderate, because he's already at that level or higher within the sport. Say what you may, but Paul Williams gets crazy buzz for some reason. As a product he's pretty weak, by my estimation. Even if the Quintana thing never happened Paul Williams doesn't have the sort of pizazz, presence, or style of movement to attract people in that romantic-adoring sort of way. He's not sexy, at all. Also, the 'naimsayin' stuff every other word is painful to listen to.

I don't think he will ever be a big star. He is a tall black fighter who isn't really a KO artist but a hard worker and accumlation specialist. He doesn't have a chance in hell of being a huge star. The boxing fans will love him, but half of them will hate him because he beat Margarito clearly or will beat Cotto and they will hold that against him, with excuses saying he stole a fight or he is too big for his division.
