If Floyd was ducking these 2 guys he would have fought Oscar,got his money then announced his retirement.The fact that he pulled out of an Oscar fight shows this has nothing to do with these 2.

Williams has now realised for him to be quoted by the press he has to talk about Floyd,he cant beat Floyd.

The reason is that there was a FAR better fight against DLH and for money the Margarito fight doesn't even come close to. Not to forget that Baldomir was #1 at the time, remember?, why wasn't Margarito #1? :huh

 

Though I do feel Floyd should still fight Antonio there was nothing wrong with him turning down 8 mil from Arum and Anotnio when he earned for 35 mil for a fiht with Oscar !!

You would have to be crazy to turn that down .

 

Except the 8 million offer was for a fight to take place in Oct of 2006.

Floyd didn't fight Oscar till May of the following year.

Plenty of time for Floyd to pick up an extra 8 mill from such and "easy" fight, before the huge Hoya windfall:deal

 

Right but he wanted Baldimor for the WBC title he was paid just under 8 mil for that fight after that he fought Oscar for 35 ..At the time it made more financial sense ..Floyd wouldn't of risked that payday against Antonio he knew dam well how dangerous he was thats why he took on Baldimor ..A watered down version of Antonio ..But after seeing what he did to Cotto could you blame him ? He still should fight him though !
