Margs is one who wanted a rematch, Martinez or unify belts with sergiy dzinziruk, or clean out the division and stand on it like B-hop hell even floyd stood on top of the lightweight and took on all comers when he was young all these guys now want a short cut to the top and instant fame and fortune

It was only 1 year between Margarito's defeat to PTP and his win over Cotto. Regardless of the time span, Williams did attempt to give Margarito his shot at redemption and reportedly offered him a career high payday in doing so. After Margarito defeated Cotto was when the fans really began to clamor for the rematch anyway. The demand wasn't nearly as prevalent immediately after they fought each other.

Im a Paul fan, but he has done nothing to make himself un-avoidable or un-ignoreable look at some one like Pac he was a slept on fighter for years only hardcore boxing fans really paid attenion to him in the states untill he had damn near 50+ fights I remember few years ago when floyd was asked who is the next best fighter after him and he said Manny Paciquio and people was like like what the fu#$ is a Paciquio , Floyd as most people forget was an avoided Young fighter( hell I remember Stevie Johnston wouldn't fight him) but his skill level made him Everybody's highest pay day even the fighters that was making more than him at the time so if they truly wanted to see how good they were they fought him and this was before he called his shots and He was begging for the big fight

He beat Bunema, a pretty decent fighter and Cintron (Anyone who watched the fight knows what I am talking about.) It was such a weak division and clearly he was the most talented in that division pre Williams. You can't even tell me who the best fighter in that division was pre Williams.

Martinez exposed him already. I dont think Pwill will be as Great as expected. He's just a Good physical specimen.

Im starting to lose respect for williams but i think he is good not great but he provides a threat to anybody between 147 to 168

his progress stalled won a belt at 147 lost won it back

got an interim at 154 then never fought the champ

he won vs Martinez it was close but Paul won

He has beaten wright i didnt like that win very much but he won

then he fought cintron in front of a tiny audience for no belt and he got a BS decision that i thought Cintron deserved

I like Williams but he has gotta make his move

He still has the possible match-up's to make up ground.
(The Cintron/Martinez fights being the only real road blocks)

Ducking Dzinziruk! Are you on crack? Is Dzinziruk even ranked in the top ten?

Lets face it, the defining fight for Williams would be Mayweather.
But in the last couple of years , Floyd has only fought a barely lightweight Marquez and a 38 year old Mosely , both nearing the end of their athletic shelve lives.
The guy who says he's the best ever won't give Paul a shot.
Williams may be one of those guys who never gets their big chance, because of the accepted avoidence he suffers from.
If everyone stopped buying all of Floyds carefully selected bull**** pay per views, maybe we'd have a real fight to look forward to.

Williams ducks no one and had to leave 147 because no one would fight him. He may not be the most skilled boxer out there, but he gives his all in the ring every single time and makes exciting fights. What on f*&king earth is there to complain about? Idiots .

    :good

Mayweather/ Williams at 147 would be one of the most interesting fights in the sport. Mayweather wouldn't fight him for a trillion dollars. Not Williams fault.

Cotto won't fight him. Not Williams fault. Mosely I think openlny said he didn't want a part of him, too awkward.

What he has done is fought a series of fighters that were themselves high risk, low reward type fighters.

He fought Margo when NOONE wanted a piece of him.
Be beat (ableit a faded) Winky like an ugly stepson. Noone dominated Wright like that. Winky was still awkward.
He won his rematch with the only fighter he lost to in dominating fashion.
Martinez, who the 'f'k want to fight a slick southpaw nobodies ever heard of yet is indisputably world class? Williams did.
He puts his name out there in THREE weight classes, and I believe is one of the few fighters genuinely willing to fight anyone.
Oh, and losing to a savvy southpaw who made you look horrible, returning to brutally KO him and then going on to fight TWO other extremely savvy southpaws is one of the best examples of a fearless fighter you will see.

These aren't massive ppv type fights, but astute fight fans can appreciate the worth of what he's achieved in the ring, and what he won't be able to just because he is not marketable and very awkward.

Did you actually thought Martinez vs Cintron was really a draw???? If so then you're the biggest moron in the history of esb.
