Paul Williams seems to cut easily....Should that be a concern?

In Williams fights against Antonio Margarito and in the first Carlos Quintana fight Williams suffered cuts from punches in both fights, and in his fight with Verno Phillips he got a bad cut from a headbutt. In a fight against the hardest punching middleweight right now that could spell disaster.

Yes. His cuts have been under control though in the past, but it is a concern. PW can't keep taking hard shots if PAv cuts him. Hop cut Pav also, and PAv's nose tends to bleed also. Might be a blood and guts fight lol...

Not really Benny cause remember Williams was cut in the 11th round vs Margarito when Margarito had Williams hurt.

Against Quintana i forgot which round Williams got cut but he was so out of shape and to dry it look like Williams was killing himself to make weight.

Against Phillips as you pointed out Williams got cut by a headbutt in which any fighters can get cuts by a headbut. Just ask Wright who never was cut that badly in his career until he met Hopkins head.

But you forgot to point out Pavlik Benny. Pavlik doesn't get cuts in his eyes but he mostly gets a busted up mouth or nose.

Yeah I know that but it's Williams who has to prove he can take a power punch from a middleweight, we know Pavlik can take one from a hard punching middlweight.

as most know i hate pavlik, but i'm reluctantly picking him to beat williams by LATE KO....I dont think Williams is going to throw a lot if pavlik is backing him up most of the fight, and I think pavlik can hurt williams, I dont know if williams can put down Pavlik......IF, and thats a Big "if" williams can take Kelly's shots, then Paul can outpoint Pavlik......

but i'm leaning in the direction of a Pavlik by LATE KO...and i'm a hardcore pavlik hater

Paul's thin skin would be a huge concern for me if I were training him. Many people seem to think all Williams has to do is handle Pav's right hand, and he's home free. That's nonsense. Pavlik will bust Paul's right eye up with left hooks from outside. Guaranteed.

Williams will be out cold long before he gets cut. Not to worry.

You are kidding right? Pavlik moves like molasses in the winter time. Williams will box circles around him. UD Williams, and it won't be close.

If he boxed all night maybe. Too bad he likes to stand and trade too much. Williams is going to sleep.:yep

I think Pav is going to leave Williams slumped in a corner in the middle rounds. I like both fighters, but if I'm wrong on this, I'll man up and eat crow.

I think the bigger disaster would be Paul going in and trading with Pavlik as Williams' trainer has claimed he will do. Maybe this is just a bluff but that would not be smart as Hopkins sure as hell did not beat Pavlik that way.
