I don't know if i've ever seen a guy make such poor use of his physical tools as this guy. He's freakingly tall and rangy but he gets right in front of his opponents, throwing absolutely NO straight punches at all, leaving himself WIDE open when he throws, doesn't turn his punches over properly, tries to throw way too many slapping arm punches instead of cutting down just a bit on his offensive volume and trying too actually sit down on his shots... his list of technical and tactical flaws is just endless. And the bad thing about it is, he just doesn't improve. He started getting noticed about 4 years ago and he doesn't seem to have progressed one little bit since. Will this guy finally wake up now and realize that just being tough and well-conditioned is not gonna cut it for him at the highest level?
To be honest its his trainer. He should get a trainer who is known for working with fighters near to his body dimensions (i.e. using their height in whatever class they are in) -- Manny Steward would transform this guys whole life.
Yea he reminds me abit of Tito Trinidad to an extent. They were great at what they did, but were one dimensional. Kept doing the same thing over and over and were content with that. Yes, Steward would be the best option for Williams.
