Paul Williams still in hiding!! MIA!!!

Fair analysis. Arum was genuinely pissed at the trash talk. He told 'Team Williams' to take the fight or STFU. It was an either/or. Both sides move on.

He basically "called out" Williams after he had received the "call"... You know, the one BEFORE the Sergio-Paul fight where Goosen told him to **** off. Knowing full well the sides had walked away from any chance of an agreement, he wants to have Kelly try to call him out to save face.


Now that's the truth of the matter, whether you would like to admit ot or not.

You can ask any true PW fan on ESB or in the world if they feel or felt that Martinez would be a tougher fight for PW than Pavlik and i can guarantee that they feel/felt Martinez would be!!!!!!

Styles makes fights and historically PW has always had trouble with southpaws! Martinez is a "rich mans" Quintana!! So for you to say that they realized "he was biting off more than he can chew" makes no sense because team Williams always viewed Martinez as a tougher match-up than Pavlik!!!

 

Peterson has said this more than once, BEFORE the fight. In Atlantic City, around the time of the fight, a lot of people were of the opinion that Paul would have had it easier waiting for Pav, because Sergio would be a tougher fight...

You still insist Paul would take Kelly's titles. Why doesn't he do that for a record payday and to be reigning king at MW? The terms are set. Paul is actually worth a little less after the Martinez fight. I don't want to hear percentages since Kelly has the title and Paul doesn't bring 40% of the earning potential for this fight. What Kelly makes is irrelevant if Paul feels he will win anyhow. Then HE would be the shot caller. That is the way this business works. And don't give me the past history. Chances of Kelly getting another staph infection is pretty low. Calzaghe postponed Lacy 3 times if I remember correctly. It happens.

 

I'm a pretty big Paul Williams fan. Ask Hermit and them, I'm sure they remember. Why the hell does everyone who says anything remotely negative about your boy need to be a "hater"? It just makes you sound stupid and ignorant to call people haters.

After Martinez's big right hand connected with Williams over and over, I just think his advisers realized that it might not be the best idea for him to face a bigger fighter who has a really big right hand. And that's fine. Rumor is he's facing Cintron next. That's a good step in the right direction if he's looking to take Pavlik eventually. The way I see it, Cintron is basically just Pavlik only slightly smaller and with a much lower workrate and level of aggression.

For you to be a "pretty big" Paul Williams fan why is it that you made a remark about Team Williams thinking that "they may have bit off more than they can chew" and now they don't wanna face Pavlik!!!

As PW fans(if your one) we don't have to agree on everything but one thing for sure is that Team Williams said they don't want to do business with Team Pavlik!! As a "pretty big" PW fan you should know the chronological order of the events!!!

BTW Cintron has faster hands than Pavlik is more athletic than Pavlik and is a better boxer than Pavlik with more punch variety and angles!!!

You can not and I repeat CAN NOT compare Pavlik with Martinez in the ring!!!!

 

I always thought Paul was just too small for Kelly at this point. Kelly starves to make MW and Paul over eats to make MW. I have no trouble with Paul fighting at 147 and 154 at this point in time. This is just a pissing match by some of William's supporters that still think he would beat Kelly and some of Kelly's supporters pointing out the opportunity is there if Williams camp wants it. Supposedly Williams and Pavlik got into a bidding war over Sergio. If Pavlik won, what does that tell you? There is more money in a Pavlik/Martinez fight than there is in a Williams/Martinez fight. Williams isn't bringing as much to the table as he seems to think. He have Greg Leon in his ear?

Bottom line. Fight ain't happening. Move on everyone.

Williams/Cintron and Pavlik/Martinez are both good fights.
