You don't have to see a guy fight top fighters all the time to know they are good. We knew he was good in the Margarito fight many years ago, the when he knocked out and got robbed by Cintron. I give Williams props for fighting the guy the first time. Then, after Sergio beats Pavlik, Pauls has balls enough to fight him again? Sergio is a tough SOB, and I wouldn't want to fight him twice. Williams hasn't even improved, and I think he looked bad against Cintron in his last fight, so I give him props for signing up for a fight that he just might lose.
Just look how he fights. And the way he beat Cintron twice in 1 night by ko and then by decision can tell easily he's that good. (It's not official but anybody with a brain knows Martinez won that fight twice in 1 night.)
Everybody did. I think Vernon might have fought him, though, if he had more time. It was just a tough fight to sell, because Martinez was an unknown entity to the general public, unless it was Spain.
I can see why Williams wouldnt want to fight him again...there are other guys id like to see him fight...why waste themselves on each other again...id like to see PW fight Cotto
How does a **** bird fighter with no title and no real following get even a 50-50 split, much less a majority of the purse? IF Martinez has agreed to this rematch, I hope he wasn't so eager to enact revenge as to take it up the ass on the money. He's a champion and Paul isn't. It's that simple.
But Forrest was about to fight a bum fighter in his last fight if i remember right instead of facing Martinez. Damn i hate mentioning his name but it's my proved Martinez gets avoided for a reason. Not just by being so called "unknown".
Everyone was reluctant to fight Sergio, Forrest included. No need to be worried about talking about him. He was a very good fighter, and one of my favorites.
This has nothing to do with your post... who is that girl in your picture? Youi don't know her do you,... she's sexy as S%@%@%! lol
I bet you feel like a damned fool making a thread about someone being a hypocrite after he already signed to fight the guy everyone wants him to fight. You sure made yourself look like a damned fool.
Eh? Obviously we knew he was good from the Cintron fight, and you do need to see guys against good fighters to know just how good they are, that's stupid, you're saying no matter who a guy faces, you know how good he will be? You said you always knew how good he was, and your refering Cintron fight? The best guy he had beaten was probably Vince Philips, proving my point, you have an idea of how good they are, but you dont know just how good.
Laying off for extended periods, waiting for that "one big fight", isn't going to increase his market value... tssss
I didnt know Arthur Abraham was a bum fighter, you should tell Ken Hershman to cancel the Super Six He was moving up to Middleweight to fight Arthur Abraham for the IBF.
