Williams has Margarito on his record at welter, was able to stop a middle weight in 1, and should have Winky at light middle on his record by March. His extraordinary hight for his weight should mean that he could retain his natural power as he goes up in weight.

Williams v Pavlik in the Summer?
    What about Bhop?

I could see Paul Williams being a real force at 147 and 154 certainly. He might even win a alphabet belt at 160 even.

But come on, BHOP takes him to school.

Yo a lot people say that but nobody thinks it through... Jermain Taylor had Kelly Pavlik about 1 or 2 punches away from being completely knocked out in their first bout...

Paul Williams Reach is longer than JT's, He is just as fast maybe a bit faster maybe a bit slower..

obviously jermain taylor is stronger but Paul Williams Punches From some awkward angles and he's proved that his strength is somewhat relevant at 160 (andy kolle suffered his first ko at the hands of paul williams).... if paul can combine speed & awkward angles to punch kp with a punch from an angle that he does not see the punch coming from... anything can happen..

    and thats just boxing 101

If the Winky fight comes off, and Paul wins, I'll be ready to take him seriously at 160. Yesterday someone mentioned the possibility of Williams/Mundine. It Paul were to beat both Winky and Mundine, feed him to Pavlik. Pavlik KO in 6-8 depending on how Paul's chin holds up at 160, and like Zertuche and Miranda, he'd never be the same fighter.

Nope . . . . I just thing his fans need to be a little more patient. I also think Goosen was smart to keep him away from KP this past fall. If PW wants to fight at 160, he should take some time to grow into the division the right way. By 2010 KP and AA will most likely be at 168. I can see Paul taking over the division after they are gone. Not before.

Paul should dominate at 154 lbs. Trying to take the best at 160 might be pushing it, but he should have the 154 lb division wrapped up if he really tries.

Kelly Pavlik Said Publicly On record he didn't want to take the fight because it would be pointless to fight an unknown welter.... im 100% sure I've read this before..

If Paul Feel's He's got what it takes to beat kp... why not do it? itll be a tough loss most definitely .. but everyone doubted bernard hopkins when he said he would easily beat kp and look what he did?

    Lets get it going !!

As a fan im not going anywhere and I have full faith in this dude....he was the first person that was brave enough to go at margarito and he pulled it off.... stepped up to 160 & pulled it off... whether it was against a scrub or not.... stepped up to light mw and pulled it off..

i just blieve in this guy

I'm just telling like I see it.Why the hell did he fight for the interim title if he has no plans for fighting Dzinziruk.
Anyway Winky is a good fight like it is at 160.
    Take out Pavlik?:lol::lol::lol:
You're out of your delusional blind nuthugging mind if you think Williams can stop Pavlik at 160.

And that my friend is all about styles. I've said it ten times, but I'll say it again. Pavlik's jab-right hand will work against PW. That means Paul ends up on the ropes hurt, and we know what happens when fighters end up on the ropes hurt against KP.

he definitely has the versatility and the talent. because of his size, there's a chance he hasn't hit his full prime and might actually fight better at 154 or 160, like tommy and tito did.
