I think this would be the ideal scenario for box fans alike. We get another American substitute, high-volume fighter, that is peaking. He and his camp has claimed that they could fight effectively at 168, and personally I think he would outwork Andre Ward... then again he could get lit up too. I don't know, but I think at the very least it should be discussed!
I agree with everyone else. I don't think that he should fight at that high of a weight till later in his career, maybe mid 30's, if at all.
YEs definately. I want to see him get sparked by Abraham and Kessler. Hell any of those fighters in the tournament would beat him. I would love an Abraham fight though. I dont know why but i hate PW.
Because the guy hasn't taken a shot from a hard punching MW that's why. I don't want to see a great fighter like PW get damaged from guys he has no business in the ring with. If PW fought Kelly and took his shots and stood up to them then fine but he hasn't.
If hes willing to fight Pavlik then why shouldnt he fight the guys in the super six? it would be the best move for him cause right now he doesnt have anyone meaningfull to fight.
No disrespect for PW but he needs to fight somedy first at 160-168 before try to mix up whit biggers guys. Kessler walkin the ring near 180lbs . Williams he's really entertaining fighter but he's got a couple of good challenge at 154-160. Anyway he's out of Pavlik fight because of injuries so he couldn't replace.
