In a perfect world, Lara gets his well deserved W and Williams calls a halt to his boxing career. Now we're going to see him get punished mercilessly by other fighters for who knows how long?

    PW's trainer is ******ed.
what he said completely goes against logic.
you lose, you train technique to get better and prevent what happened last time from occuring again.

Paul, go find a competant coach.

and look the same punch over and over. Roy and Kellerman were cracking me and my brother up the way they were clowning Paul and his trainer.
Hit with the same damn punch over an over

I agree with you man...things like this **** me off on a number of levels. As you said, all Paul wins from this robbery is another beating. That's not what I want to see. I want to see Lara get whatever big fight Williams will get, because he's better equipped for it now.

I really hope this doesn't hold Lara back too much, but it wouldn't be the first time the foreign guy gets screwed and has his career derailed because of it. If there is any encouraging sign, and I'm straining to see one, it's that HBO actually called it for what it is this time (likely because of a culmination of bad decisions, of which this might be the top of the heap). Hopefully they'll give Lara another solid chance and the judges will be fair for that one.

Dude it was like watching a shitty ten year old Fight Night player and watching the same punch land on him every single time. After awhile you feel more sympathy for the lil' ******* than anything else.

I'm hoping Lara gets that shot at Bundrage, and if he wins that and he really should, he's got a belt and others (like Alvarez, etc.) have a reason for fighting him. But I'm right there with you man...it was sad enough watching Williams have his head snapped hundreds of times by the same punch, but now it's going to end even worse for him. I said it after the first Martinez fight. I think that fight was so brutal for him, it just took so much away that he won't get back. Boxing - so many great things about the sport, but sometimes... :-(

You can't change Williams style or his chin at this point in his career. PW isn't that type of fighter.

Williams going back to 154 was dumb.

I hear you man....it's tough to be a fan on nights like tonight. What ought to be the most pure sport out there gets polluted with so much bull**** it's a crying shame. And in the end, it's always the fighters who pay the highest price for it.

All I can hope is that whoever the better fighter is between Khan and Judah coming up is the one that actually gets their hands raised. Pretty sad when we have to worry about the right, deserving fighter getting the W considering it should be the one basic thing,if nothing else, that fans and fighters are entitled to.
