    andy lee will have considered his options' weighed his chances up with the punisher, as will his trainer steward, imo andy has a good chance of beating williams at middle, a lot thought williams lost to martinez at that weight, lee has a good dig, good boxing brain, and will have good tactics planned for the fight, i watched the cintron fight, and untill the strange ending i dident see anything lee couldent handle, williams is a step up in class, but a inform lee stops or outpoints him, after scoring a flash knockdown or two in the early going.;):good

    Lee needs to test himself against a top 20 opponent first but I have no doubt that he could pull off the upset against Williams if he got the opportunity. I'm sure there will be a lot of comments ridiculing Lee for saying he'd like to fight "The Punisher" but he is far from unbeatable.

    Not any time soon and only if he wanted a very easy defence, he is moving on to way bigger fights than Andy Lee.

    Lee needs to prove him against much higher competition to deserve a shot at Williams. If the fight did happen It wouldnt last very long or Williams would Lacy him.

    That makes no sense. One loss doesn't erase Lee's abilities. As long as he is addressng the problems that lead to his defeat there is no reason why he shouldn't be looking at guys like Williams. Obviously he needs to up his level of opposition first though.

    I like Andy Lee and I like this fight. The styles would match up nicely. I'm a big Williams fan too but he leave himself open lots so he's there to be hit.

    I'd like to see the fight but not for at least a year. Lee isn't a big enough name to get onto HBO yet but he is only a couple of wins away from being in a position where this fight could be made. Glad to see Andy aiming high.

    Mate, no offence but you're taking the ****. The Williams team would never entertain such a ludicrous suggestion. Andy Lee is NOWHERE near that level. Bottom line is they'll never meet.

    i think williams would like to think he's in bigger fights but with who? cotto dont mention him, martinez hasen't offered the rematch, etc etc, and williams has to keep busy, his last fight was over before it started, williams is easy to hit and lee will be in the fight, i think it comes of early next year.:good

    Only time will tell! Everybody can have their own opinion. I've followed both for years and seen most of their fights and it's really not a bad fight. Not right now though. Lee needs to earn his right to fight Williams but in 12 months he could have done that. Paul Williams is a monster at welter, not at 160.

    williams will fight, cintron wasent exactly fight of the century, and that happened, plus he was dangerous, two more fights, and andy gets him.:good
