de la Hoya just wanted Cotto, everybody wanted Cotto to win, there is no way de la Hoya wanted Margarito.Nobody more or less wants Margarito and Igive credit to Williams for fighting him.And if I call Oscar out does that mean he will fight me?Do you think Vazquez will fight Lopez soon just cuz he called him out?It ain't like that
DLH already said that he will fight Margarito, check out the news. All this "no way in hell" is pure bull**** especially for a guy like DLH who fought guys that would **** all over Margarito in terms of ability, accomplishments, style and skill.
I meant challenges like Cotto and Margarito for Floyd. I said at least he was facing his challenges, at 6'1 southpaw with a 82 in reach which is bigger than some of the heavyweights out there. :think
Don't twist it idiot, you clearly said that Margarito fought his "challenges" unlike Floyd and by challenges this was referred to Paul Williams since he's the main topic here and Margarito fought him because he was his mandatory. About fighting Margarito for Floyd, in 2006 Margarito was a nobody who hasn't done jack**** and there was a linear champion available, why waste time fighting someone who will offer nothing when others can offer way more for the same amount?, even back then no one knew how good this guy really is. In 2007 Margarito's accomplishments were: Losing to Paul Williams and beating Golden Johnson. Still on the "unknown" road and only recently is being seriously heard for beating Cotto. Even Cotto was still a new Welterweight who was labeled as "not ready" till he fought Mosley(1 month before Hatton/Mayweather). The only guy worth mentioning for Mayweather was Williams and that was for beating Margarito. Funny how you're desperately dragging Mayweather into the discussion to make Margarito look good whilst completely ignoring the fact that Mayweather is a guy who had his list of accomplishments even OUT of this weight while Margarito is struggling to make a statement in one weight division.
As I said, check out the news, he already said a fight with Margarito is very possible and not out of the question. He wouldn't bring it up again if he wasn't serious about it. Also, even if he's faded now that doesn't change the fact that he fought dangerous opponents before who Margarito doesn't even compare to.
I know Margarito will fight him eventually and I know he aint a ***** like some fighters out there. Margarito was a long champion and as far as I am concern had a right to fight Floyd. He faced more top ten welterweights out there. Funny how you claim Baldomir was a great win and act like he aint a **** fighter. BTW, I bring up Floyds name up for obvious reasons since according to you he can do no wrong which is bull****.
Yeah,I know the news. But''he wouldn't bring it up if he wasn't serious about it''?Come on man,you know better than to buy that crap.He is a god damn promoter now,he talks a lot more than he fights.Margarito is gonna fight Mosley than Cotto and de la Hoya might be retired by the end of 2009,cant see the fight any earlier. The rest I agree
He had no right to fight Floyd, the reason why he fought Paul Williams is because Williams was his mandatory, was he Floyd's mandatory?, the answer is no and because he thought too much of a WBO title that held him off big fights he always wanted, now that the title is gone he's getting all the shots he wanted, coincidence?, I don't think so. If his wins over those top 10 guys were major he would have been found on P4P lists or AT LEAST close to the top 10, was he?, not even close. Correction, according to you Margarito can do no wrong. When I see idiots backing him up with "he has to wait" excuses about AVENGING ACTUAL LOSSES then it's pretty clear who's delusional. Margarito had NOTHING against Mayweather, not in terms of accomplishments in the division nor ANYTHING, he could hardly draw flies to **** when he fought as well and wanted a free shot for doing NOTHING. As I said if he did anything worth mentioning he would be appreciated for it and made P4P lists, DID HE?, where was Mayweather on P4P lists?, that should expose who's delusional here.
Late next year it's very possible this fight may happen, I know it sounds like a joke but it's VERY possible if Margarito wins his next two fights, especially the Mosley fight. Don't think DLH will want to go out without fighting someone his partner and friend fought when everyone criticised him for not fighting. DLH has nothing to lose in terms of legacy for losing to Margarito, it's Margarito who has a lot to lose if he doesn't beat him, DLH is in a win-win situation going in against Margarito. Again I repeat, I know it sounds like a joke but I do think it's very possible.
That's your prediction of what might happen, really doesn't explain anything and isn't 100% accurate.
Margarito should fight Williams again and most likely will. If he doesnt fight him late next year or possible early in the following year than clearly he has done something wrong not fighting Williams. Margarito has a brutal style and in my eyes should cash in with this big win over Cotto. I give credit to Floyd for what he has done in his career even though I have no doubt in my mind he lost to Castillo the first time. Bottom line, in your eyes you see Margarito as scrub way back when he challenged Floyd but in your heart you know he was afraid of something Margarito had to offer in a fight. Maybe constant pressure also the fact he throws so many punches and we all know he couldnt get Margarito off his ass since he cant hurt him.
Hell no I don't think he was scared of something Margarito offered because at the time Margarito didn't offer nothing. His style is taken seriously alright and won't be easy but what major wins did he have on his record?, you know there's an issue when a guy like Baldomir captures the main spot in a single fight with Margarito being behind for years. Maybe it will make sense to you that the entire division ducked him but that's laughable to me as it's pretty damn clear no one is ducking him right now.
