I think your points are valid. Didn't think of it that way. Yeah, Clottey is more stationary than Quintana. But i still think that Clottey can get in some shots with his left hook over Williams' right jab regularly. Let's not forget that Clottey has very good hand speed. Clottey also uses the upper cut regularly. Don't know if Williams will be that close. Probably not for the vast majority of the fight.

Yeah, logic saids Williams based on activity and length and Clottey's lackthereof. I would love to see it though. Interesting styles. Still think it would be close and competitive.

What makes you think Clottey would even be hurt in that fight, let alone knocked down, let alone knocked out.

Have you even seen him hurt in a fight?

Williams is not a true southpaw as he has said in the past. He is a converted southpaw which is why it seems that he gets hit with clean shots at times. Quintana was just on his game, and he bewildered Williams. Williams knew he had to attack Q in the rematch and he did. Clottey will be dangerous early, but he is just not active enough to win the fight imo. Williams UD in 12.

Going with the upset Clottey. As long as he keep this fight on the inside, he has the advantage. That way he takes away Williams best weapon, his jab.

Lately Williams has been choosing his shots and this favors Clottey cause i dont think Williams can knock out Clottey. Clottey has a great defense and is a better and faster counterpuncher than Quintana. For Williams to win he has to fight like the Margarito fight and not how he has lately been fighting.

Williams by wide decision. Different class of fighter completely. Also, Clottey's peek-a-boo style won't fare that well with someone who has a significant reach advantage. Yes, he's a good counterpuncher, but he's not a southpaw like Quintana, and Williams knows how to defend against orthodox fighters.

No question about it Paul Williams. The angles, non stop pressure and jab will be too much for Josh to cope with. He'll have his spots with his very good counter punching but the beard of Paul is solid and his skills are very good for a lanky relentless pressure fighter/boxer like Paul. i can even see a kO although I voted a UD for Paul.

A agree! His reach isn't a factor moreso than his height. Williams for the most part fights samll...he likes inside fight. However, Williams can fight tall when he wants to. As he did with Marg in spots.

I think He really confused Marg with the game plan Paul came in with. He didn't just fight on the inside, he didn't just fight on the outside. Paul gave Marg MANY different looks which kept Marg guessing.

Marg didn't know if Paul was gonna take him on on the inside or start poppin the jab and work on the outside b/c he was doing both to great effect.. Once Marg got to round 6 he really started to warm up and begin landing some meaningful shots inbetween Pauls combinations. At that point I think Margs face was numb and use to the punches...he also knew or felt at that time Paul wouldn't be able to put him down.

But overall Paul likes to fight Mano y Mano, toe to toe. He has the skill to fight tall...I just think he chooses not to use it as most fighters with his physical demensions would.

Clottey doesn't throw enough and stands right in front of you. That plays right into the hands of a punching machine like Williams. Paul will easily outwork Clottey to a UD win.
