Nunn in a wide, WIIIIDE decision, making Williams look utterly ineffective in the process

nunn is overated widely on this thread.

talent wise he had it all , but he had big problems between his ears.

if williams could take his power without needing to back up he could defenatley beat nunn on workrate and will to win.

the fight would all depend what would happen if nunn landed clean and williams was not troubled.

if nunn hurt williams then yes nunn wins as everyone says.

but nunn was not really a big puncher the kalambay ko 1 win was an aberation .

williams workrate and stamina is exactlty what nunn hated, and nunn had stamina issues and williams huge workrate would mean he would win most rounds late in this fight as nunn tired .

most are thinking of quintana outboxing williams and nunn could do this, but quintana would stay in the pocket when hitting williams , this was not nunn`s style.

what people on this thread forget or have not seen about nunn, is that he hated to be hit, and i mean hit at all.

if williams started hitting nunn , nunn would go into defensive mode and turn runner and williams , if he could pressure nunn ala calzaghe v hopkins , even if he did not land much clean would win rounds simply on letting his hands go v a fighter thinking of defense only and not offense.

couple this with williams brilliant stamina and conditioning and nunns poor stamina and this fight is way closer than everyone so far`s shutout or ko win.

if williams could and then went at nunn non stop he would get nunn backpeddling and nunns self beleif would go down.

nunn was an on top fighter only.

as usual fighters of yesteryear good fights are always remembered and all there faults and problems are forgotton.

    i picked williams
nunn is put up as some kind of great fighter in this thread.

williams height and style is a style nunn always struggled with.

    Nunn for me....

He out boxed a prime Toney for most of the fight. A level I don't consider Williams on at this point.

no i am questioning whether styles make fights.

nunn never stayed in the pocket and if pressured fought negativley and slowed as a fight went on and tired down the stretch.

watch iran barkley a fighter as slow as treacle and how effective he was after the first few rounds v nunn

    watch tim littles v nunn

    watch frankie liles v nunn.

liles and littles were a little bit heavier than williams but had fluent styles and let there hands go as williams does.

as i said people only remember the good fights of a previous generation and all there bad points are forgotton.
