    Well Ill start...

When we saw joe c & bhop square off.... joe c stylistically made bhop look old because os his high volume and business... there were certain things bhop could do to counter it but at this point bhop is to old to fight that busy...

paul willliams could easily mirror what joe c did

I think iit's a great fight, I voted Paul Williams, but we have never seen paul above 168 so now I am second guessing myself, like i always do when it comes to Bernard Hopkins.

Anyways my gut feeling is Paul has the activity level to beat the old veteran.

Too big of a jump in weight, IMO. Don't forget, Hops also floored Calzaghe in the first round. A stick figure like Williams probably wouldn't get up.

I agree though, if his chin can hold up, Williams is a stylistic nightmare for Hopkins. I just think Hopkins would knock his ass out.

The Nard that faught Pav would be trouble.....Nard that faught Kelly is a PROBLEM! But who knows. I'd go with Nard at 170. His craft and his fighters instinct against a very busy guy like Paul would give him ample opportunities to catch Williams while he's in the midst of his own offense. A great fight...both stylewise and with who we are discussing but I'd go with Nard by a TKO.

I agree with this but I think Nard wouldn't be so conservative himself fighting a guy like Paul. He'd try to be more busy like he was with PAV. But yea.....Nard is OLD! It could be a problem given Paul's youth and Paul being very good "defensively" as well. It's a toss up but how can you go against Nard!?

bhop could look like that against pavlik because he (pavlik) is one dimensional

has this been talked about yet ?

i think it is a very interesting fight, but a huge risk for Paul, at least it will tell us what Paul can do againts the 168 lbs and true MW like Pavlik and Abraham

True, but Nard was operating like he use to...ala tito, Holmes and Joppy. We havn't seen Nard like that for a while. He definitly turn back the hands of time in that one. He may not be able to do all the things he was able to do with PAV against Paul....but PAUL fighting a BIGGER and more dangerous foe in a Bhop wouldn't be a agressive and forceful either. He'd have to adjust his game plan accordingly for the move up in weight and for the challeng that is Bhop.

No doubt! Paul is incrediable. I find him as a top P4P fighter even though he hasn't really got any big names aside from Wink. That win alone was supremely impressive b/c Wink is still a top guy IMHO...just in active. If I could I put him right behind PAC and Floyd.

Well the key to this fight is the 1st few rounds for me.

If Williams takes the 1st few rounds and gains confidence, B-Hop could be in for a very long night...but Hopkins was able to negate Calzaghes high work rate early on in their fight, and Calzaghe squeezed out a razor thin decision mostly due to his ability to adapt during a fight.

Would a fighter with less experience a la Williams be able to do the same?? I'm not so sure!! Also factor in that Williams hasn't fought much at 160, so 170 would be completely new territory........and I'd say the safe bet is Hopkins!!

    Could go either way though.
