Read on a rival website that Richard Schaefer from Golden Boy may entertain the idea of having Bernard Hopkins take place of Kelly Pavlik at 170. This actually sounds like a very intriguing fight to say the least. In my personal opinion, I don't think that it would be better than Pavlk vs Williams, but I do think it's an interesting fight. What are your thought of this possible matchup?

    Hopkins by destruction.
PW was stunned by MArgarito and Bhop hits alot harder. Not to mention the ring smarts alone guarantee him the win.

NOt happening, GBP just trying to take the light off the fact that Mosley don't want the fight. HBO/Team Goosen has asked about Shane wanting the fight and they don't.

Paul Williams does not present enough $$$ for B-Hop and it does nothing for his legacy.

Schafer is so worried about Paul cutting off a leg to make 147  If he or Mosley wanted the fight wouldn't that be an advantage???

like 2 weeks ago I'm watching FNF and Hopkins states the winner of Dawson - Johnson 2 has a date with the old man in january.

I think Hopkins would fu*k PW up. Too much of a disparity in natural size. If PW were about the same size, i would favor PW but that's no the case. Hopkins will probably control distance and either stay out of PW's range or get in his chest and maul him on the inside. I can see Hopkins KOing PW.

It would be very interesting, but I don't see it happening (at least not this year)

Hopkins would rough him up and take his soul along with a win.

this isn't as good of a fight as Hopkins-Adamek. Adamek is a certified elite fighter and a monster in the ring. Adamek should be hopkins' final fight

Hopkins is undefeated against southpaws, there will be no exception if this fight takes place, Pauls work rate will give Nard trouble but at the same time it will give Nard more opportunity's to score.

if Paul struggled with Margarito that is all you need to know

I think PW wins this by a competitive decision. B hop is still an amazing fighter. I see B Hop Struggling with PW's workrate. If you had asked me Pre Wright vs Williams i would have said B-Hop by solid decision. Paul seems unstoppable atm.

If this one happens & B-hop wins, then fcuk me, his legacy will be even more enhanced! Williams is a guy who's in great form, at the peak of his career! Bernard is nearly twenty years older than Williams!
