I looked further into the welterweight division and i come to realize that williams and mayweather is the best fight out there to make, because i think floyd would school margarito.Everybody knows margarito is one of my fav fighter's and i don't like floyd, but he would outclass margarito, but i have a feeling the only guy out there that could beat floyd or bring out the best of him is paul williams.I think paul would win by decision, but i think floyd would bring out all the boxing tricks he learned all through his life and that to me would make a great fight between two of the best skilled boxers in the division and world.

I'M NOT SWITCHING UP,BUT I CAME TO REALITY THAT THE ONLY PERSON THAT WILL BEAT FLOYD IS SOMEONE WHO ALSO HAS WORLDCLASS SKILLS AND THAT'S WILLIAMS.

    david and goliath

williams' massive size advantage is the key factor here more than his skills

Floyd Snr said he has tapes of Lil Floyd putting tall fighters on their asses....Floyd Snr said he taught Floyd Jr (who is 5'8) on how to stay small when dealing with a taller opponent especially while standing right in front of them....so a Mayweather/Williams would be interesting until Floyd haters cant stand on such a tall fighter with long reach cant touch Floyd....what can you say Mayweather is just "hard to find":good

Paul would I think be the toughest fight in the division for Floyd and I am a Floyd because like you say the boxing skills a fight with Margorito like I keep telling everyone would look like Baldomir vs Floyd part 2 just outclassed for 12 rounds I dont think Floyd would knock him out though it goes the distance but clear cut winner at the end but you would still have people saying mayweather lost just like some people think Oscar beat him.

seriously i like paul, he is a nice humble kid who wants to fight the world but he cant beat mayweather, floyd would counter him to death, williams is amateurish and all over the place.

I favor Williams with his punch output.

I think Mayweather would counter PW all day as he seems to be reaching his punches at times. It would by no means be a cakewalk as Williams High volume and size would make Floyd throw more punches than he is comfortable doing. Same would go for a Margo fight as he is definitely no Baldomir. He punches harder than Baldo and Williams so he will give floyd trouble even if he lands on the gloves. Oscar busted up Floyd while not being able to throw or land as many punches as Margo likely would. I think Floyd pulls it off as he will not be hit cleanly as much as Cotto, but it definitely wouldn't be a whitewash.

Floyd would counter all day....a tough fight but something like 9 rds to 3 in favor of floyd...you cant hit what you cant find and floyd has been training to fight taller fighters since he was a lil kid...regardless of how many punches williams throws floyd will be much more accurate...

I see Floyd countering this guy alot. Remember that Floyd can fight in the pocket very well. Plus PW does get tired, he's only fought 12rds twice, and both fights he looked tired at the end. Floyd will make this guy chase him all nite and tire him out. In rounds 9-12 Floyd will brawl with the guy and get the best of him. I just dont see PW beating PBF.

williams is a better boxer than corrales was. harder to hit also. might be a good matchup. doubt floyd will take the risk though.

Is Williams that much better than Corrales boxing wise ? From the looks of the first Quinatan fight I say hell no ..Floyd schools him for 12 rds ! Too much defense and speed for Paul to handle ..Paul has as many defensive holes as Corrales did !

Chico was 5'10" with an 70" reach. PW is 6'1" reach 82". Big difference. But I agree Floyd should be the favorite due to his speed and skill.
