Kirkland is in line for a shot at the vacant IBF title, Williams will be in line for a shot at the WBO title once he beats Phillips. This would be a hell of a unification bout at the end of 2009 at 154. Williams has the advantage in size and chin, Kirkland is the faster more powerful fighter. So who takes this fight?

this would be a good match. im not sure if james is ready for paul yet, but i do think this would be a closer fight then people expected.
The funny thing is Kirkland trains in Austin which is only 45 minute drive from my house and never went to go watch him train. But I seen some of his fights and honestly he is a strong fighter with power just his defense is not that good.This would honestly be a good fight and honestly it could go either way but I favor Williams just because he fought better quality fighters plus his work rate and reach advantage is nuts.But other then that it would be a good fight to see.
Williams late TKO. Williams has a better chin, better stamina and a better workrate. If Kirkland doesn't take his opponent out early he get frustrated and he gets tried down the stretch.
