Paul williams vs. Kelly pavlik

Pav brutalizes him...But I think this is a fight that could happen in the future..Williams may have the frame for middleweight, we will see... but he wont be top tier there.

 

Pavlik is too big and too strong, and Paul Williams just gets hit too much.... PW is great, I love watching him fight.. but he is not BHOP, and he will lose VIA KO if he steps in with Pavlik

 

Williams doesn't have the size to keep Kelly off of him.

Pavlik by 5th round KO.

 

Williams will punish him for a UD or late KO.

Paul needs to stay at WW or JMW for the same reasons Kelly should stay at MW. (huge advantages)

 

I see Kelly moving up to super middle weight very soon. The AA fight is the only one worth watching and i think he will win in a close fight. With the likes Kessler and Froch hanging around SMW i think we will see kelly move up for big $$$.

 

How could he fights those guys at 168? In the two fights above 160 he did not look nearly as good.

Pavlik has to move up to 168 sometime.. either because his body won't be able to handle the middleweight limit anymore, or because there isn't much competition at 160. How effective he'll be remains to be seen, but no doubt he'll be moving up there sometime soon.

 

Williams has the frame to fight at middleweight. I'm sure he can get there quite easily in fact. We've already seen one fighter significantly move up in weight this year and have success.

As for the fight, I think the Punisher would box Pavlik similar to how he fought Margarito; use his hand speed and skills to dominate for a boring UD. I said it before the Hopkins fight and I'll say it again, Pavlik has no skills, no speed, and is ridiculously easy to hit (especially for a guy like Paul). Pav is all power, nothing else. He would have a punchers chance of course, but Williams isn't stupid enough to brawl with him. He didn't with Margarito and he sure as **** won't with Pavlik.
