but im saying.. we have seen the power in effect at higher weights.. i mean not that kolle is some kind of moster or anything but atleast it gives us an idea that paul is capable of hurting people at a higher weight.... truth be told paul should be a middle weight anyway.. atleast based on his frame its just by the grace of god that he can some how make welterweight..
how is he gonna avoid punch from Pavlik, who has good accuracy, when Margo and Quintana were hitting him at will? Paul Williams love to trade, and that will be his downfall vs a big puncher like Pav
Thats why I said if, if he can study Hopkins' strategy & stick to it, he can beat Pavlik. Hell, even Clottey & PBF can beat Pavlik if they do what Hopkins did
Don't get me wrong; I like Williams, but I still see him as a limited boxer. He only had 25 amateur fights before turning pro, doesn't seemed to have progressed much since. While getting a TKO against Phillips is pretty impressive; don't forget that this was a guy who's 39 and 5'7". So, although he moved-up in weight, Williams essentially retained all of his physical advantages and didn't have to suck-down as much. Against Pavlik, Williams loses all of his physical advantage (except reach). And, IMO without his physical advantages, Williams is just ordinary.
Phillips was the weakest link in the 154 division, now all of a sudden Williams can beat the middleweight champion? ......sounds familiar huh Pac/Diaz was not a real indication that Pac can beat the LWW champion Hatton, but look at him now, hes practically a favorite. I choose Pavlik but Im not writing Williams off.
as soon as there was news of paul fighting pavlik i said paul had a big chance to win i was even making paul williams vs jermain taylor threads
who care that he has a little advantage in speed over pavlik? Jermain Taylor is way more faster than PW, and Pav was still doing what he wanted
Pavlik would beat Clottey and PBF on the same night. damn, PBF is nothing alike hopkins, and pavlik is utter**** at +170lbs I would bet my house on Pavlik on a fight vs Mayweather at 160lbs
nah them guys are too big but im saying taylor had the opprotunity to put out pavlik EARLY! i mean if jt clamped down a little tighter and wasnt so wild there would be no kelly pavlik phenomenon.... i personally feel paul williams has the physical attributes to reproduce that performance except put pavlik out... at the same time pavlik could certainley put pw out too. i really want to see this one go down.... high risk high reward baby
dont think that PW has the power to do so, but we will see, cause Pavlik will be still at 160, when Paul Williams come up.
