This fight was supposed to take place back in 2009 but never came to light. You have Williams' nonstop punching against Pavlik's power. Who ends up winning had they fought?

I think the key factor in this matchup is the 2009 aspect. In 2009, Pavlik was coming off a loss to BHOP at a 170 catchweight and was really struggling to make 160. On the other hand, Williams was just moving to 160 and was at his absolute peak. Prime for prime, I like Pavlik but in 2009, Pavlik was on the downside with rumors of alcoholism. I could see Williams knocking him off but then again, Pavlik was still dangerous.

    Agreed.

Pavlik literally only had a 2-year peak (2006-2007).

The Pavlik who stopped Edison Miranda and Jermain Taylor would most definitely beat Paul Williams IMO. The version that was just coming off of losing to Hopkins most likely gets beat by Williams but he still had the power to hurt Williams and perhaps drop him as well.

Either way it would certainly been a fun entertaining fight.

Even in 2009, probably Pavlik. He was a lot bigger than Williams and had better fundamentals.
