Yeah, no doubt that this fight would be a joke. If Kelly wants to take on a guy before he faces Arthur Abraham then his only two choices should be Mora, or quite possibly Felix Sturm if his ***** ass would actually grow some balls and fight a top guy.

Help me understand this. Winky Wright has been virtually BEGGING for a fight with Pavlik at Middleweight and Jack loew and Kelly both would like it.

But their punk ass promoter (Arum) doesn't so he's talking up a guy who's a friggin WELTERWEIGHT? You cannot be serious right??

I can't believe this is actually being discussed seriously. What next, Miguel Cotto since he probably walks around at 170??

 

We have to remember money is the biggest factor. What does Winky want, money wise? Mora apparently priced himself out. Would Winky fight in Cleveland or A.C.? Is it a PPV fight? How much is HBO willing to ante up? A lot of factors to ponder.... But would Kelly Love that fight....HELL YA!! It doesn't hurt that Wink's trainer, Dan Birmingham is from Youngstown. Of the possible matchups being talked about now, this is my favorite. I respect Winky very much and think he could make it tough on Kelly. We can all become Randy Griffin fans tonight, because that's the only way Kelly fights for the WBA belt!

 

if pavlik fights a guy from 2 weight divisions below him,does that mean hes ducking abraham?you know bcoz EVERYBODY is ducking pavlik,right?

 

Pavlik would be arrested for manslaughter after the fight

 

regardless of the outcome this would be the second highest anticipated fight after margarito and cotto

Winky was a great fighter but he grossly overestimated his market value. Look at his dominating win over Tito; he easily could have knocked him out if he had tried, but Winky just wanted to jab and pitty-pat his way to an easy UD. People don't want to see that, they want to see the superior fighter separate himself from an over-matched opponent. That's how good/great fighters become "stars." Winky remained a great fighter, but his style and stubbornness kept him from crossing over and becoming a star.

 

For the 10th time Williams is OUT, and Winky may be in.

A WW win would look good on KP's resume. He'll retire Winky in brutal fashion.

 

As Winky has mentioned he's ALWAYS taken short money. So since "money" is the excuse where was the offer that Arum gave Winky if it was a about money??

I know it's about money but I hardly doubt that Winky came in demanding parity.

As far as his style and it being eye pleasing. I happen to enjoy it myself. So he didn't knock out Cheato, big deal. He pretty much controlled him the entire fight with a jab for the most part.

Winky has a bigger name than Paul Williams PERIOD!!! Style or not, so why isn't that fight being made when winky is clearly available???

This is nothing against Pavlik but more directed to Arum for even putting this story of P Wil vs. Pav out there..
