Paul williams vs. Kermit Cintron May 8

If this fight was taking place at 147 where they'd have 8 ounce gloves..it would be so much more interesting to me. At welter, Kermit has legit power. But at 154? Not so much. Williams defense or lack thereof could really do him in against a genuine puncher. But I think Paul is safe for this one since Kermit's power seemingly doesn't carry to junior middleweight.

 

Have a look at the photo of them together .Cintron lists as 5 11 and Williams as 6 1"" it looks a lot more than 2 inches to me!

 

Williams wins by UD or even late stoppage. I would not be surprised if Cintron KOs him though.

 

Thats because Williams isnt 6'1! He's more like 6'2 or 6'3.

Cintron is a LEGIT 5'11. Cotto is a midget. He's only 5'7. You're on the pipe if you think Cintron and Cotto are the same height.

 

PW is approximately one inch taller than Pavlik. Look at the presser pics.

I can see Williams breaking Cintron down via a copious amount of punches and pressure, very much in th manner of Margarito's defeats of Cintron.

Williams in 6-8 rounds.

 

I don't know why, but I feel that Kermit is going to land that big right very often.. and that it's going to hurt Paul

 

Good point. Cintron will land, and Williams doesnt have the chin Magarito has.

Im actually looking forward to this figt.

 

I'm leaning toward PW by TKO. It's difficult to imagine Kermit dealing with Paul's work rate and tenacity.

Paul has only suffered 1 KD his entire career during the first round. And he went on to take some flush bombs that entire fight (more flush rights than margo took from Shane) without even pausing.


If Margo's chin is better, it's only slightly better.

 

Kermit the frog needs time and space to get off his right hand. If Paul jumps him from the opening bell, Cintron might be overwhelmed all night. But if Kerm can get some space between them, it maximizes his chance. In other words, an all out war doesnt bode well for Cintron.

 

Every boxer has a punchers chance but its the guy who gets hit who has to decide if he truly can go on!!!

PW has shown in his fight vs Martinez that he is willing to get off the canvas and go hard! The punch that SM hit PW with was so flush that I clearly heard it(15 rows back). Most guys would never recover or even get up from a shot like that but yet PW still came back the next round at the same pace(100 punches per round)!!!

Kermit has some boxing skill but he definitely doesn't have the heart!!!

Pavlik offered him a career ending beat down.

So he is fighting Kermit instead and on the front page doing the usual 'Kelly was afraid of me' ****. This time he doesn't mention him by name though, just reference to the 'pull out' and he is so grateful Cintron will fight him when NO ONE ELSE will.
