Paul Williams vs. Kermit Cintron

This fight is a nice little step for Paul Williams. Step on the brakes a little. Work out on Cintron before the Martinez rematch. Btw I've given up on Paul fighting to his strengths and stop voluntarily giving up his height, he just is what he is. No matter what your physical attributes its really your mentality that makes you and Paul just wants to ambush and fight in the booth. We would all like him to use that freakish reach and fight from across the street, which would mean he would get hit less and give the likes of Kermit who's a big puncher very little chance. But it is what it is and he should still have too much for Cintron.

Cintron is just a sitting duck for Paul Williams at 154 atm specially since Kerm thinks he's an out-fighter now with the false sense of beating an H1N1 infested Angulo last year. Not that Angulo was a video game in the speed department to begin with, but something medically just wasn't right with him at the bell. Kermit implores that same gameplan vs. Paul Williams and goes to sleep by a long barreled shotgun. Paul Williams should then camp out at 154, let Sergio win Staph rematch (which looks like its gonna be enforced) and then diamond belt the two divisions for Paul/Sergio II a la Ray Leonard with Lalonde.

Williams and Martinez could have a great trilogy and really make eachother. Sergio worked so f* hard to get the Green Belt's interim tag just to get side winded by a political gift where Kermit got a BS draw in losing a fight 3 times in 1 night if you count his chief second coming on the canvas. WBC wants nothing more than to award these 2 badasses for a Part Deux. Paul Williams takes care of Kerm, solidifies his 154 tag, Sergio vaccinates the Staph off Pavlik, then scales the two at 158, give them 30+ hours to rehydrate for two-division supremacy for WBC's second Diamond Belt venture!

 

C'mon Avidle...really? Cintron is getting to that gatekeeper stage for me. If we've seen this once we've seen it a hundred times. Guys like Kermit and Kelly our simply not strong enough in the cerebral sense to compete with elite fighters that show angles, movement, workrate etc. For fighters like Sergio or Paul Williams, Kerm and the Staphmaster our fishes outta water. A quick look back at all his excuses pre and post Margarito/Martinez will show you a weak disposition and a soon-to-be Friday Night Fighter.

 

I'm just glad the Middleweight division is in good hands, people laughed when i said that he ducked Mora of contender fame but i guess they're not laughing now.

I was studying the whole Mora thing the first time and it was clearly a ploy by Bobfather and Kelly's dad to keep stalling and hopefully King AA would leave 160. Well Kelly's team actually did it a second time with Mora so I knew the fix was in to keep this Midwest cash cow from losing his Atlantic City paydays for as long as possible. They pulled that crap again with Paul Williams, yes you guessed it TWICE as well, but thank the boxing gods for SMart restoring order to Hagler's prestigious office.

Well there goes my hopes, wants, wishes and wet dreams about Sergio and Paul Williams laying it down for what a Diamond wrap-around (float division) is suppose to be about by hopping on the scales at a 158, but early on a Friday, and giving some 32 odd hours before the bell for both to eat 4 BIG meals and go balls-2-da-wall for us fans at the bell.
