mayweather would outbox williams, you people talk as if a fighter can't control their opponents workrate. quintana controlled williams workrate, hopkins controlled calzaghe workrate, mayweather would control williams workrate.

    Quintana????

    That was 4 fights ago.

Can we at least agree that we aren't seeing the same Williams that laid a goose-egg against Carlos?

PBF can't hurt Petey and he knows it. He would eventually walk PBF down in the later rounds and beat his brains out.

It would be a tough fight though, with PW winning by stoppage after being down on the scorecards

has williams changed his style since then? NO. williams is the same fighter he was against quintana. you can't just throw punches in a fight and expect that your going to win, its about the quality of punches and PBF will catch williams all day long with the straight right. he will be in and out before williams knows what has hit him.

    Nah.. different fighter.

Believe what you want. Paul is much more talented than just a tall bum who throws a lot of punches. He has a great chin, and better stamina than PBF has ever beenin the ring with. Those last rounds would be more than Floyd ever bargained for.

Actually Williams only fought the way he did against Quintana once, so to falsly try to imply that is the way he always fights is bull****. That was the worst Paul ever fought, and he has not looked that bad since that fight.

Has Williams improved? Yes. His defense is getting tighter. He is starting to throw the jab more and use his height more. He is also starting to sit on his punches more and generate more power.

You tell me why you think PBF would catch Williams with straight rights, the money punch that everyone tries to land on Paul is looping overhand rights, I don't see Floyd as the type of guy to want to go into the dog house and throw that shot against Paul. Quintana did that **** because he had nothing to lose, Floyd doesn't think that way.

Mayweather will NEVER EVER fight Williams. NEVER.

He is too smart and knows that Williams would be a disaster style-wise and he would NOT win.

    Mayweather by decision

Just take a look back at the quintana fight ... Williams is beatable - block his punches, give him angles, and slow down his workrate and he's just ordinary.

The right hand lead all night ... Paul Williams is very hittable ... he took some good shots from fighter who was no where near the level of Floyd. And I doubt that height and reach would be a problem given that Floyd has seen fighters like that before - amateur and pro.
