whats improved since then??....he still has little to no deference, he's the same Williams that fought him the 1st time, only thing that changed the 2nd time was that he knew he would get outboxed so he sat down on his punches and tried to get rid of him before that could go down

Cotto would do the same thing but much worse.......box his way in, and rip to Williams skinny little body.....

and uhh...his confidence is sky high?, kinda like it was right before the Quintana fight??.....

 

cotto proved with margo he can't box for 12 full rounds. his defense isn't solid enough which is what you need to beat williams. people who pose the biggest threat to williams are the guys with great defense and counterpunching, ....e.g. mayweather and clottey.

Is it just me or are people over rating cotto's power? He never hurt a fighter off of one punch..... Accumulation most definitely but definitely not one punch

 

Possibly, and I think that people are over rating Cotto's punch resistance. I've seen him hurt by fighters who are smaller than Williams and hit nowhere near as hard.

I picked PW by decision, but if anybody is getting KO'd I would think it would be Cotto.

Williams stood up to Margo's attack and got a UD win while Cotto melted down under Margo's attack and quit.:think Which one sounds like he's better equipped to go to war?:dealCotto gets hurt in just about every fight. Williams has never had good defense I admit it but Margo didn't have defense either and stopped Cotto. What people fail to understand is that if you can hurt Cotto and can take his shots he's very beatable. He starts to retreat and is mentally weak. A confident guy like Williams will see this and take advantage of it.

Wiliams has improved everyone knows it, he sits on his shots more and goes to the body very well for a guy who is as long as he is.

BTW I love how people love like to bring up the Quintana loss but never talk about him destroying him in the rematch. Carlos has been on a milk carton ever since that demolition job. Have you seen him?:yep

As far as Cotto. Cotto hasn't hurt anyone with CLOSE to the power and resistance that Paul has. He couldn't bully him. He couldn't box him from a distance. And if he thinks he's gonna work his way inside, he's gonna eat way more leather than he can digest. He simply doesn't have the beard. :-(

The only people who could possiibly pick Cotto are his avid fans (lotsa folks) or PW haters (Margo fans).
