Miguel Cotto 5'7" Paul Williams 6'1" Pretty big difference, but does height really matter, David took down Goliath with a stone to the head... This content is protected Cotto takes out Paul Williams with a stone body shot... This content is protected Cotto wins.
I wasn't sure you were capable of typing a response without the word Pacquiao in it. Of course your post is still about Pac and like always your 180 degrees from correct.
A "protected" fraud? :nut Hey I'll let you get away with fraud since we are all entitled to our opinions buty "protected" come on man that's just pure and utter nonsense....the guy has fought just about every dangerous fighter availible in boxing for the last 6 years (plus Floyd in the Spring) atsch I can now add you to the ignore list because you lack the ability to be even remotely subjective. Thanks!
#1- Cotto don't want none of that inside game. For all of Paul's faults, he has a really good inside game, and it's where I actually feel more comfortable when I see him work his way inside. Cotto's best chance is to counter Paul coming in. #2 - Cotto isn't a brutal puncher by any means. He has only decent power these days, and Paul's chin isn't as suspect as you people are making it out. #3 - Cotto ain't stopping Paul with no goddamn body shot. Just ain't gonna happen. as skinny as Paul is, he is has a very strong core, and his inside game will not allow Cotto to try and tee off on him when they get close. #4 - Cotto ain't got the best whiskers in the game is damn self. #5 - And as much as people adore him, you gotta admit he is not the strongest-willed fighter out there. Paul is definitely mentally tougher than Cotto, and he is definitely much much much better conditioned. Is if turns into a long night, I have no doubt in my mind Cotto will pack it in and get on his bike after Round 7 like he did against Clottey. And that won't be a good look against a guy who is ready to throw 100 punches a round in the latter rounds. He will get chased and outworked the entire second half of the fight. PW 7-5 UD (Just my opinion, so no one has to get all emotional like you Cotto fans sometimes do)

And if someone like Mayorga can go 12 rounds with Cotto, it should be easy to see PW not losing by KO and being much more competitive.
He fought Williams in May 2010, his next fight was against Molina on JULY 2011. What 2 months are you talking about? :good Agreed.
I actually, honestly believe Mayorga would last fifteen/plus rds with Williams, or maybe Williams gets cracked b4 that. This, with a motivated Mayorga, would probably be like a Lara kind of thing.. Willi winning a date with the judges!! I know half or maybe most ppl in here will think this is ludicrous, but I think a rematch now with Margarito would be interesting. Loser gets a one way ticket to Margaritaville as the official taxi cab driver.. Winner gets fed to JK, Canelo, or any other decent 154 lbr.
would love to see this fight, I don't think Cotto can withstand the type of pressure Williams would give him. Cotto isn't a master boxer and he's not a south paw plus he can wilt under pressure and that's P-Willy's bread and butter. I've always though Williams would beat Cotto and that he's a horrible style match up for Cotto.....that said both are past their best but thejury's still out on how far past it P-Willy is since the Ishida fight was just a comeback tuneup, we'll see soon enough....if they're both equally past it I still pick Williams.
